Hi my fellow monster hunters and survivalists,
the hospital scene in Resident Evil 3 breaks the immersion very much. Because fallen dead zombies are dissolving into thin air and smoke during the hospital end fight in this stupid arcady-console-like actiongame-manner which I especially despice (removing the corpses during an endless respawn of new enemies "to save RAM" or whatever absolutely kills the immersion, that`s some stupid FPS-optimization thing just like removing the physics engine the hitboxes most of the gore and other stuff from the zombie animations and zombie physics which made Resident Evil 2 so absolute great and GOTY and beloved by everyone).
My question is:
Is there any way to prevent fallen undead from dissolving into thin air during this hospital survival scene? Maybe some minor hex-edit which makes the fallen undead permanent or something similar?
(By the way, stopping the endless stream of respawning zombies during these two minutes would be appreciated too, just walking around in a room without enemies for a minute is nice too - the most important thing is that the immersion is not getting destroyed by arcady respawn streams and vanishing-into-smoke of all fallen enemies in one special room.)
Thank you very much; I absolutely appreciate all your work and my Resident Evil games are absolute wonderful thanks to your precious mods

Hmm at least I have managed to fully unpack the file "re_chunk_000.pak" (which seems to be the Resident Evil 3 main folder with all data, scripts and other stuff). 29,2 GB of fully unpacked files, after changing.... @setlocal enableextensions @pushd %~dp0 .\REtool.exe -h re3_pak_names_release.list -x -skipUnknowns %1 @popd @pause this script in the file extract-pak, and downloading a file called "re3_pak_names_release.list". Now I have 30 gigabytes of I have to admit absolute unknown files and file formats, but at least some of these files can be opened with Notepad++ and my Hex Editor. I am currently looking for: a) a file or a code to prevent this absolute immersion-breaking bursting of fallen zombies and hunters b) or when everything else fails, a full removal of this stupid action-nonstopshootingscene with this consoly-arcady-stupid disappearing of all fallen enemies, immediately triggering the video sequence with the C4 and continue playing with Jill. And your are absolutely right reiko26 this arcady stupid action-scene at the end of the hospital with endless respawning stream of zombies suddenly bursting into nothingness absolutely destroys one of the absolute creepy highlight of Resident Evil 3, the awesome gloomy dark hospital episode with Carlos with all the cool new hunters lurking in the destroyed hallways. Now I would need some help from an absolute pro who knows how to handle these engine-intern files and the Hex-Editor (like enemy replacement and other stuff) Does anyone know how to literally skip these arcady stupid annoying endless respawning of zombies fight, skipping right to the C4 scene after Jill get`s the antidote, or how to stop the dissolving and vanishing into thin air of fallen enemies in this hospital endfight scene?
