Ok so there is no problem with the tool that is in that distribution as it works perfectly well on my machine. I think your version of the LFS tool is unpacking it wrong as the screen shot you sent of the core.udas that was unaltered by any udas tool has a very small amount of data that is different than the working version I have, and may be the reason why your repacked version has reversed endian order on the header.
In another message you sent me you mentioned something about writing your own LFS script which is probably the issue.
To continue with this I will ask that you remove the LFS extension of the original core.udas using the LFS tool included in the 2018 Son of Persia Toolset. To do this, simply place the core.udas.lfs file in a folder with ALL THE FILES that are included in the LFS tool folder and then click on the RUN.bat file. This will remove the LFS extension.
After this please unpack and repack the core.udas file that was extracted and post a screen shot here in this thread.

ok i think i fixed it so what i did was i fully reinstalled my game now i can run the core file without the LFS
Im going too edit the mdt files and see if they work
Hm ok so editing the mdt file and repacking it still doesnt work

I also stated that other users have experienced the same problem, so it’s best that we troubleshoot not only for you, but for everyone else that is experiencing difficulty with this issue. Please follow the steps I presented in my last message n this thread so we can figure this out. Happy modding !

So it look almost identical to the one you extracted before (with the exception of one byte), but it still looks different than mine. I have some questions about this latest extraction: 1 - can you confirm that you used the LFS tool that was provided in the RE4UHD 2018 Toolset and that you used the RUN.bat file to extract this latest file? 2 - What version of Windows are you running? 3 - Do you have video recording software to record your screen or Discord?

ok i went through some tests with another advanced user and we have determined that the tools are ok, and that the endian order seen in the header really doesnt matter. (my friend actually filled it with garbage and the files still worked). So.. onto the next:
We think that your MDT file is the culprit here. TO make sure this is the case, I want you to simply get the core.udas.lfs, and remove the LFS extension with LFS tool, then unpack it with the UDAS tool, and repack it. Place this file in your ETC folder (remembering to rename the original core.udas.lfs file to core.udas.lfs.bak) and let me know if it loads correctly.

well, since the culprit was how you used the MDT tool, all the other information is irrelevant. I suggest you read the MDT tool tutorial I created and start a new thread if you are having issues.
