Re Village Instead Re8According to the authors "the village is the real protagonist". They said they didn't call Re8 but Village. Steam store page too call it Re Village.. So is possible that Village is a prequel or spin-off for the series to finish Ethan storyline and Chris too? What do you think about it?

They say that, but at the same time, they put an eight in roman numbers. I felt this more like an excuse and lack of confidence from Capcom's side. I doubt we may see an actual RE7 or RE8 in the future, maybe not imposible but I think it's unlikely with RE:Biohazard and RE:Village there.

Like a prequel, only to define the "new" Chris and the Blue Umbrella?

It is Resident Evil 8, the developers clearly explain it in this video:
I don't know why you posted this in the news section, this isn't official news nor is it confirming anything.

Village is 8. Capcom said that maybe because of bad reception from fans? They screwed Chris in 7, and now he's back. Ethan is also back. Probably Mia. I cannot think this isn't a sequence of 7.

They are saying this because they don't want people thinking they have to play the previous games before they get into 8, additionally with the introduction of Resident Evil 7, that game also technically hides the VII because it is a new series despite sharing the Resident Evil title... they choose that title because of the name recognition, afraid of it being it's own new IP, which it technically was. This also explains the last minute addition of a popular Resident Evil character tacked onto the title, which was only done to address the fact that the game had nothing to do with their popular series, which had upset many of the fans of the numbered franchise.
So now, RESIDENT EVIL and RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE are the only two titles you need to know in their series "Reboot", as technically story wise they are actually a new RE1(2018) and it's upcoming sequel RE2(2021).

Unless it has zombies its not resident evil! Its shifted way out there! Its out of control.. Resident evil stopped being resident evil after nemisis. It stopped being about zombies and started being about Las Plagus. five was no different. I never played six. Never got around to it but I hear im not missing anything special. RE7 was well RE7. now were here.

Actually, after Code Veronica if you don't consider "non-zombie RE games" as RE games.

Well "non-zombies RE games" came with more action than before. re4 re5 re6 for the main ones have similar enemies like majinis, villagers or javos but behave way differently than what we were used to in re1, re2 and re3. I personnally think it's a good idea from Capcom to do that, to create new enemies, i mean the BSAA is against any biological weapons so not only zombies.. Hunters, Lickers, Tyrants, Cereberus and so on, are biological enemies. So RE games need them, need those biological weapons or it's not Resident Evil, it's not unique. If we say "zombies" we can say alot of games, movies, ... but if we say biological weapons like Nemesis, Tyrants, Hunters, Lickers, Javo, Uroboros, it's Resident Evil and not something else
Plus having only zombies would be just boring and annoying, Capcom couldn't do anything special and different from the other games. If it's to have Resident Evil 1/2/3 with just better graphics it won't be unique and the zombies would just be a context and not a real threat. RE1 Remaster and the Remakes of RE2 and RE3 are different, for me it's the original games with some variations and modern graphics, not a new game at all since we have the characters and their knowledge from that time When we don't know an enemy and we don't know his pattern, we are careful, a zombie ? It's always the same so not scary at all.
In RE1/2/3 we play as characters with no knowledge about those biological enemies, Chris, Jill, Rebecca, Barry, Leon, Claire, Ada.... At first they didn't even knew about those things. What i see is that Capcom tries to introduce new characters that are like the famous ones in the first games, unexperienced characters that becomes stronger. In RE VII we clearly see the difference between Ethan at the beginning of the game and Ethan at the End.. and with Village we will just see that Ethan evolved and became just better than in RE VII

Totally guilty of not including code veronica. Weird to cause its one my favorites. I play it on PS4 all the time. Loved the creepy vibes down in the morgue. It helped fuel my need for horror movies and games today! Always need more creeps(Feeling), more shocks, more everything!!
