By the way, they made Chris's face more faithful to previous games now. So they actually listened to fans. That's nice.

...Yeah, I think if DMC fans can get a redo with DMC5, then RE fans should get a option to have a real RE7, that tells a real follow up story to the events of RE6 (and at least in my opinion, DMC by Ninja Theory was at least still a good game and more like a prequel to the DMC series and while RE went Silent Hill-like).
This could be done as the current RE seven is titled officially "RESIDENT EVIL BIOHAZARD" and thus we could have a official "Resident Evil 7" (return of the numbered series) featuring, actual real resident evil cast members, alternate endings, the Third Person Perspective, a large cast of enemies, different campaigns, a multitude of ui options, multiplayer as a option for both the single player campaign and the several varied multiplayer game modes, The Mercenaries Mode (and it's iterations), the many different alternate character costumes, lots of unlockables like what was done in RE5 and in RE6, the ability to fully control your characters movements (i.e. run, walk, throw yourself back, crawl backwards and or roll to evade capture (and even fire weapons while in this state), kick, punch, jump over barriers, move while shooting, multitudes of animation sets (like idle animations) and more...
Sadly, I think such a variety of options/features in a RE game are a thing of the past...

Sadly, I think such a variety of options/features in a RE game are a thing of the past... You're basically asking for the series to go back to being a TPS Coop Action game again, and that's not what Resident Evil was originally. RE is a single player Survival Horror series at heart, and it wasn't until RE5 that it when multiplayer. Now it's just finally going back to it's roots, and I'm fine with first person if it means the series goes back to being what it's supposed to be. But that's just my two cents.

RE is more than just the genre its the characters, story, theme world, etc etc 7 and 8 have none of the things that made the other games great. hell the action games like 5 and 6 were still more RE than these 2 new games. they werent survival horror but they still had the RE charm. i personally dont care whether its FPS TPS survival or action i just want them to make a game like they used to revelations 1 and 2 were a great hybrid of both action and horror go with that or go with action just make a dam RE game not the shitty outlast/ silent hill thing that the new games are

I agree with everything, really wish it was in third person though. They should start making RE's optionally in tank controls as well.

Both Revs are pretty good too. Also, you will have little chance of surviving if you don't fight your way trough the mess. People hate 6, but you can't say almost all the classic things weren't there: zombies, creepy places, BOWs, etc. The biggest mistake Capcom made, imo, was not including Claire in the game. 7 is terrible. Juts cheap jump scares and no story at all. Ethan even doesn't have a face! The only good remake was RE1. 2 and specially 3, don't look like RE games, specially 3. Jill became a boring character. Nemesis is no more. All the iconic parts were removed and they didn't put anything good in their places. All RE3 remake needed was better graphics and some new mechanics. All the other things should have stayed where they were. 1 could make it happens. 2 made Leon become a jerk who does not care about other people (when he sees Sherry that's quite obvious), unless Ada. He has no bonds to Claire. It's like he was just worried about getting away (with Ada) and Claire/Sherry were on their on. I don't like the route Capcom took for RE. It's becoming more and more generic.

It's becoming more and more generic.Tbh I couldn't disagree more on some parts. While i did like it, there were alot of things in RE6 that were not there, zombies are in every resident evil, they aren't what made resident evil however. B.O.W's actually did make up things in most RE's, however it was always done in a way as to introduce us to things in the story normally from what I remember playing RE0, even RE2R does this well, while there are some unique B.O.W's in RE6, they just don't play out well, in most senses they are a joke. If you mean RE6 then thats like far from the biggest mistake, I don't remember the plot for RE6 but I am sure it had nothing to do with claire. The true biggest mistake RE6 made was trying to be everything and not deticating to any one thing. According to others I have heard, most moments in the game that are suppose to mean alot are scripted, as in you can't play them as they are some sort of quick time event. I have to agree, the game practically opens with a quick play event. Uh I don't think you played it then? RE7 is just story, I have no clue how you came up with there is no story if you actually played it. I don't remember there being many jumpscares, although I am sure there are many more QTE events in RE6 then jumpscares in RE7. RE1R is prolly the best in terms of being original to the RE formula. 2 litterally plays out like how you would expect a modern RE game to play out, thats why everyone I know likes them. They are much harder though. RE2R and RE3R play out exactly like the old RE games in third person. I mean jill's character was always boring in my opinion, its the story and nemesis that made the game good with RE3N. RE3R's gameplay makes it good as well as the story, the story was ok just really short, they really nailed gameplay in RE3R. The nemesis is NOT a joke on the hardest two difficulties though, so again I ask if you played it completely. I actually do think that is a fair critisim, I do remember alot more to RE3N and how somethings from my childhood don't seem to be there in RE3R.You are confusing me, on one hand you are arguing for originality of the titles, but now you are saying you want new mechanics? I mean they did totally revamp the dodge mechanic, I don't see why they needed to change the graphics? The graphics are like... the least issue thing possible. I mean they look great tbh. I mean you aren't really making RE3R sound bad at all? Unless you mean you wanted the old RE3N but with a new mechanic? That would just be odd to me, It would not complete/go hand in hand for the story line for RE2R.
No sure what you are saying here, I understood the saying leon is a jerk part though and thats false I didn't think that once, I again don't know how you are coming out with these conclusions? This is a really dumb point because its the most untrue thing ever, constantly leon sees Claire and is happy to see her alive, while it is hinted that there is romanitic intrest between claire and Leon, in no way did I see anything he did I see it as an action to leave behind everyone and start anew with Ada. Hell leon at this point thinks Ada is dead, and Claire and Leon met up.

That's fine if you disagree of me in many aspects (or most of them), but "dumb" was unnecessary. Maybe it's not an offense, but it's unconfortable. But moving on, i stand for what i said. Let's see watch the future brings, but Ethan was a very poor choice.
