Finally, it is now possible to hide the knife and radio ONLY when not in use, for all the mod costumes out there that don't have belts or sheaths for holding them. It was accomplished by modifying the bone coordinates in the skeleton file, " female_joint.fbxskel.3"Hide Knife and Radio (Jill)Hides Jill's knife and Radio when holstered. Also restores the radio from being invisible if a mod previously dealt with the issue by making it invisible. Hide Radio (Jill)Hides Jill's Radio when not in use. Also restores the radio from being invisible if a mod previously dealt with the issue by making it invisible. DISCLAIMER: Using the version of the mod that hides the knife may cause issues with mods that still have holsters and belts for holding them {Issues like this}

Perfect job, alphaz ! I use the "Hide Radio" one since I always use classic Jill and that damn floating radio is finally gone when unused. For those who are kind of afraid the mod would glitch during the cutscenes where Jill uses the radio : it's not the case at all, the radio appears as it should during said cutscenes. Anyway, thanks again Alphaz! Any chance you could do another "Hide mod" to take care of the floating {Spoiler} anti-virus sample as well, please?

The knife hide does not seem to work for the classic costume. The holstered position is different compared to the default and STARS consume, so perhaps it is on a different bone?

Is there a way to hide parts of the main body mesh? I'm sure there must be. I've tried blanking some files out, but that didn't work. Is there like a thread I could be directed too? I (think) I understand hiding the knife and radio is different than hiding the parts of the mesh. However I looked and haven't found anything in the RE3R forum.
I seen people say RE2R is basically the same as RE3R in term of modding since they use the same engine. Was there a way to do hide parts of the mesh in that game?

You can hide them in many ways. If the part you are trying to hide is its own submesh object, you can hide it with the MDF template by finding out which material it uses an making that material invisible (see the part in the first reply to that thread about making materials semitransparent). Finding out which materials are which can be easily done with Noesis, by loading the model with its MDF file using the " -c" color coding parameter after the name of the MDF file. You can also delete the part of the model you want gone using Blender or 3DS Max, and then export the new model back to the game. These techniques only work if the thing you want hidden is part of the body mesh. The knife and radio are their own separate models that are simply attached to the body by way of the generic skeleton file, so to hide them, the attachment point bones on that skeleton file had to be moved underground. The pistol and long gun are also like this, but they are attached via the skeleton in the body model itself rather than the generic skeleton file.

You just finished modifying Noesis a couple of days ago, too huh? I was under the impression that 3DS max was the only way to edit mods but you can use Blender now? Nice. Does importing thru Noesis retain physics or do those have to be redone?

The knife hide does not seem to work for the classic costume. The holstered position is different compared to the default and STARS consume, so perhaps it is on a different bone? Having this problem, too. I'm using Aerosmith's classic costume and sure enough the knife is still right there floating next to her thigh. Is there any fix for this? EDIT: It does work for the first default costume slot, with the appropriate glitch when an actual holster is part of the costume. Problem is Aero's classic outfit is in the classic costume slot.

It's gotta be something on my end then. Maybe a conflict. In any case I found K.G. Maliao's classic mod and I'm liking it a lot better. The problem with Aero's is those stick legs, and that's no problem at all here. Thanks for the second opinion, though!
