If they removed the giant spiders from the current remakes I can't see them leaving the huge ogres and such in a re4 remake. I think it'll sell well but I think they'll change it and the core fans won't be pleased. I love the game but not as an RE game. I feel like it's too much a departure from the Raccoon City stuff. I'll still buy it of course lol. RE game isn't just rotating around Raccoon City, my friend. RE4 was a masterpiece, and I say it both as a game and as a RE game. It's got most RE characteristics in it. Backtracking? Check. Mutation? Check. Horror? Check. Suspense? Check. One-liners? Check. Puzzles? Check. Returning characters? Check. B.O.Ws? Check. Yes it's got action in it but it is perfectly executed and is balanced with horror of the game. The only game I don't feel RE-ish is RE7. It is just nonsense to me if people call RE4 "not a good RE game" just because it has 3rd person camera and it wasn't set on Raccoon City. Exactly this. I see people on reddit call RE4 "not a good RE game" and it irks me on so many levels. It's fine if you don't like it. But it does balance action and horror very, very well. The only game that I would agree that is "not a good RE game" is RE6. It's also a game that I haven't played since 2018. Because I just don't like it. For several reasons, of course. I thought RE7 was an okay game and brought back the series to its roots. Not everyone liked how Capcom went with first-person which I can totally get by. We're probably gonna expect RE8 to have the same if anything. As for the rumored RE4 remake: I am scared. I don't want M-Two or Capcom to cut anything from the masterpiece that is this game. I suppose we'll see soon enough.

Everything else is just, too bland, doesn't feel like RE.
