Would be easier for me show this:
So I've been using the RE_Engine_MESH_v0.5d exporter script in 3DS Max 2014, but I noticed that all my attempts kept yeilding a 74kb empty file, after a quick export.
In this video I did:
- use the script to import Nemesis' head, and his skeleton - created a simple box primitive - turned it into an editable poly - gave it an arbitrary uv unwrap modifier - did a skinwrap - converted the skinwrap to skin - edited the normals - renamed the box to follow the objects naming convention - parented the mesh under the appropriate group - deleted all non essential meshes - exported the box mesh
result: an empty .mesh file. I was getting the same results with the character meshes (fully skinned, uv'd) I was working on, and also the meshes I used to make mods last year for RE2.
I've also tried this exporting with resetting Xforms, collapsing the pre-skin modifiers on the the modifier stack but to no avail.
I humbly seek your guidance. Is there a step in the process that I am missing or fugging up?
