Got a problem. I tried something really simple: -I just copy and pasted the textures from RE2 files to RE5 files without changing anything else. -Tried to save and here's what I get: imgur.com/a/xkJjk8FBTW, about the Nvidia plugin, I should have something in filters but I don't have Nvidia in "Filters": imgur.com/a/bOvdOAfYou Can't Save The Texture Cause The Plugins Didn't Installed Completely, I Can See That From No Nvidia's Normal Filter On Your Photoshop. (Far As I Know, The .dds & Normal Map Filter Plugins Are In 1 Set-up) Make Sure If You Installed The .DDS Plugins Bit Based on Your Photoshop's Bit, It Is 32Bit Or 64Bit. Edit : You Know What, I'll Take A Look On The Textures

Gonna watch it tommorow. If you need something in particular, don't hesitate to ask.

Well i tried, and textures are weirdly connected like, for the same texture, one side is okay, the other one isn't at least i tried but i don't think i will be able to do it never seen this before I've added the textures from RE2's Samurai Edge as .tga files. (Following Skuld's way) Maybe it will helps you ?
