Didn't like what i saw. Some mechanics look better than RE2, but the ultra strong zombies keep anoying me. And why Jill is a bitch in this version? Ok, she is normally a little "cold", but the little dialogue she had with Carlos was very obnoxious. Why this urge of Capcom to drop F bombs? Leon became a jerk. Claire was ok, and Jill didn't start very well, imo.
You have to remember the events of the mansion incident still happened in this remake which means Jill obviously has a DEEP mistrust of Umbrella and here these guys are apparently working under Umbrella's orders so it only makes sense she would be cold and mistrustful of them, this was only a bit of hostility shown in the original RE3 remake but honestly I think that was just due to the quality of the story not being the main priority of the team back then, apparently Capcom wants to convey just how distrustful she is of U.B.C.S members with good reason.
You may be right, but it bugs me. I don't like bad words in general, so i feel uncomfortable with some dialogues. Anyway, life goes on.

It's funny to see people complain about RE3 "damaging the lore" when RE "canon" has been a mess for years. It's piled with retcons and impossibilities (seriously, boot up RE1/REmake 1 and try to get the "canon" ending).
This is like Dragon Ball Super all over again.
I liked the demo, though. Ran better on PC than RE2make ever did (how that works I have no idea). Don't understand the comments about RE protagonists being stoic and cool; everyone spends the first few cutscenes of RE1 in a panic, RE2 didn't have enough dialogue to characterize them until RE2make revealed that yeah actually they were terrified almost the entire time. It's no surprise RE3make decided that Jill would be a total bitch to people working for the company that ruined her life and her hometown.
Honestly? I hope afterwards they just REmake the entire series, and I say that as someone that likes every mainline game except 4 and 7.

So some nonspoiler updates, regarding Resident Evil 3(2020)... So far, we know the new version of this game is linear this time, and as a result this time around, it only has one possible ending. I think the majority of us here where probably hoping that they would expand and add upon what the game already did, but looks like the developer opted to go in a different direction. Additionally, gleaning from many posted reviews, the single player campaign is reportedly short, but I imagine like other RE titles, the same is true with most of these games if you simply focus on completing the game instead of immersing yourself in it and examining all the details... the question is the replay value... currently, the game looks like it consists of only the single player campaign and the multiplayer mode Star Wars Resistance (think most are still not sold on that game mode, but I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised by it...). The replay value, this time around is achieved (in the single player campaign) by completing certain objectives in the campaign, that earn you points to unlock costumes (so far it looks like there is only one costume to unlock, (for Jill only and no not the pre-order costumes) and then different items that if you carry them on your person these items give you certain advantages while you play the game, that may allow you to run through the game at a faster pace, for those of you, that like to do speed runs. The like others will have more difficulty settings, some that unlock only after completing the game, but it is being reported that game feels much shorter to Resident Evil 2(2019) because it only has the one story option as Jill this time, instead of after completing the game have another playthrough with some changes made, when you play as a different character with Claire or Leon in RE2.
So far in regard to costumes for the main characters, we have 3 confirmed for Jill (pre-order classic, the default and one other unlock) and 2 for Carlos (pre-order classic and the default).
As for the multiplayer addition, Resistance will also have a points system, that will allow you to obtain different weapons/items from a special crate while in game, that will make surviving against the different masterminds' various zombie/b.o.w.s threats giving you more of a chance of winning the round. There appears to be several different locations that a team of 4 survivors will have to battle through against the "dungeon master" Mastermind (three to choose from, which each one, will have some different skills/abilities to use against the other players) who can summon and at some points directly control the various enemy npcs that are put against the survivor team.

I thought they couldn't make something worse than Remake2 but it seems they've achieved it. I think I'm officially done with any modern Resident Evil at this point, especially if they're going to be remakes. I honestly can't see myself enjoying any further releases when everything I dislike with them appears to be welcomed with open arms judging from how people claim they're amazing and superior to the originals. It sounds whiny, very "I wanna plaaaay" but it's true. Every attempt to enjoy them just ends up with me craving something more, something better designed. As if there's so much that could be there but simply isn't. Those thoughts end up with the same result, which is me popping in a copy of the originals and thinking "Why wasn't THAT there. Why didn't they do THIS." I just do not see what's to adore with these remakes. So I guess this is where I get off the new RE bus.
I'm thankful at least that I've still got a PS1 and PS2 to play the original games. Now if that was taken away from me, I'd go insane.

@ eternalentity
Based on re2(2019), I did not think, what they would be doing would be much different from that (I suspected it would feel trimmed down, Like you, I would have like to see the them expand upon and add more to the game; perhaps a deep tie-in with the outbreak content, such a idea would have been very interesting; more added to the game, and not less)... will see in a few when I get to try it out and give you my opinion. Having said that i am certain re3 classic will still have more different from it's new 2020 reimagining and like re2 classic, it will remain a staple for resident evil aficionados. Lastly they would have earned many brownie points with a lot of the fan base, if RE3(2020) would have brought back a new and updated Mercenaries for 2020; a missed opportunity to be for sure.

Well, for me the bad thing is the entire part of the game missing which is still an easter egg thingy in the city rather than a real stage, otherwise i think that remake is "good". I think remakes are just another way of turning the events of a game, adding or removing some parts. I was disappointed about Nemesis. I thought he would have been more like a stalker than Mr. X. He brings more tense in-game than Nemesis does and that's sad.

Nemesis should of been a Mr X that would follow you everywhere but was more aggressive that would follow you through the entire game, but to make him inexplicably disappear for a time to arrive unannounced. But no, there's only one stalking segment in the entire game. He's in the game way less than he was originally and half of the encounters are unavoidable boss fights. And that's before even getting into his wrecked transformations.

After having beaten the game about... 5 times now? I can say I like ALMOST everything except...
- Nemesis doesn't have much of a gameplay presence. I like how 2nd form looks, but it never stalks you so there's little tension after the last Nemesis encounter.
- I think there's a bit too much ammo, even on Nightmare/Inferno. I get that the original RE3 had a ton of ammo laying around, but you had to USE it when Nemesis arrived. Not a problem here because the most ammo-intensive sections are played as Carlos.
- Was it just me or did a lot of the weapons feel kinda useless? I almost never used anything but my handgun and the magnum, though I did use the GL for that one Nemesis fight. Sucks that the clocktower fight can be softlocked though.
- There's not much replay value because of the shop and lack of any extra mods.
Tl;dr it's a really good game and I love it as a remake but it has some niggling issues and was tragically overpriced.

Almost agree with everything commanbershep said, except for replay value, that's basically the name of the game for me lol. I really liked this reimagining, I would love for it to be longer though instead of that REsistance nonsense. Still really fun.
Also I agree on not buying at full price. I got it with 30% discount so it was good for me.

RE3 Reimagined update: After having some time to try it out, I got to say I like it, almost completed the game and started playing it on the hard difficulty... doing this has made the boss fights much more of a pain and many more chances of being one hit killed, making the game much more of a challenge. Very limited ammo and it forces you to be much more careful with how you engage your enemies... Things I would have liked to see in this game, is some options for traversing the city, currently it feels much more linear then the original version of the game. Also they should have just kept the original creatures instead of complete redesigns and simply added new creatures and characters into the game instead of replacing what worked before... adding to the game, instead of replacing things... for example the original Hunter Gamas where great and the new version made for this game could have been a new B.O.W. RE3 Resistance is interesting, while I would have still preferred the return of The Mercenaries mode, it actually is enjoyable game mode. It really should have been built into RE3 as a single title, think it hurts the chances people will play the mode as a separate install (also requires more space on the drive having to duplicate many of the same assets from the single player campaign)and they really should have included original Resident Evil characters into this mode instead of new generic characters for this mode to be the survivors. Seeing updated models of characters from Outbreak and of classic characters from RE1, RE2 and RE3 incorporated into the mode would have handily brought people into wanting to try out this mode, then having a generic cast of characters that people have zero investment in...
I am curious, what other think about RE3 and Resistance, so please post your opinions... no spoilers though, just looking for impressions on what was done in this iteration of the game...

RE3 Remake just received a new update on Steam for a unlock items addon dlc, but the download for the update went from about 400mb when downloading it, to ballooning to over 4.6gb in file size; curious if this is happening to others who have installed the update...
(edit: It has decided to change the update size again, to 19.5gb) seriously someone messed up...
(update: from talking to others, most seemed to get a 800mb install instead, so maybe my issue with the update basically reinstalling the entire game was a one off...)
