I dont see why milking their products is a problem. if you would get money for free, you all would most likely do the same. Its not that they hurt anyone for releasing their games on new hardware, to new customers.
The prices are often greedy, but thats the only critic point i think is valid, other than that, let them port their games to the infinity.
Somwhere, someone will have alot of fun playing these.
It quite literally depends on the ports, and how optimized they are. I love RE5 to death, but I'm not sure how well these will be. Especially with how unoptimized RE4 is, and especially REmake and Zero. Since RE6 is quite demanding, I dunno how well this port will be. My hype is through the roof, but my hope for decent optimization isn't so high. But if RE5 is ported well, then this could mean a possible Mercenaries United on the go.
Doesn't the Switch have like four cores that are pretty throttled? IIRC they're running at like 1 GB each, and the update that reduced load times seemingly has them run at like 1.7 GB during load times. Capcom could be taking advantage of this for RE5.
There's a bit more info that's missing for anyone curious:
1. Each game individually retails for $30 USD.
2. There's a "triple bundle pack" coming that has RE4 on cart, with RE5 and RE6 having digital codes for download. The whole pack is $60, so this is the best deal overall. Each game would come out to $20 versus the $30 for each individual title.

I played through the demos that went live on (Australian) E-Shop, should be live in other regions soon
and the most noticable changes/things Sectus and I discovered:
RE5: give/request all ammo from a stack making you/partner give all ammo instead of (20) bullets, you can still do the normal give option too. inventory font/numbers placement changes, changed main menu lay-out.
RE6: splitscreen health bars now displayed in the black sidebars. EX Costumes in campaign. EX costumes don't show in all cutscenes
both demos could've had better framerates. splitscreen framerate was bad. load times were better than REmake and RE0. based on the credits from both demos these ports were done in-house and not outsourced...
videos of both demos:
Another thing that came up about these ports is that if you own REmake, RE0 or RE4 (digitally) on switch you will get a discount on these games of 33% off.
Edit: also save data carries over to the full game. However! (For RE5) there's a limit to this. You can only carry over a few weapons (I think 3?) 10 items total and a max of 10K gold. Unsure if RE6 had a similar limit regarding skill points...?
hm i don't know why but i have some real big sound problems with both demos like, musik and sfx are normal but the voice acting is almost never hearable. Only if the character is pretty close. No idea if it's a setting in my Switch but i have no problem with Smash Bros.
But anyway, i think both Demos are pretty okay. Only thing that annyoes me a bit is that the controlls have the A and B buttonswitcht compared to Xbox controller XD
Also for RE5 it's nice that they keep adding some smal features that make the game better like the give/request all. And i noticed that Sheva helps you almost always instantly now. In other versions you had to call for help to make her act.
Too bad the Steam port of RE5 was out sourced and came out so shitty. Qualety assurance and testing sure was not a thing there... And it's sad that they keep improving the game with each port (except cuting out classing Mercenaries was a bullshit decison) but never bother patching that stuff for PC and other platforms.
Taint3d: I'm tired as well, haven't slept in two day's unfortunately.

glisp: fluffyquack might as well just stop adding trainers to his mod manager. He refuses to update them to work with the latest version of the games. There's no point in having them.
