I really love this mod, however I'd like to know if there's a way to keep the crosshair but remove the annoying ammo counter in the corner? The game is fun without a crosshair but can be very difficult, especially with hardcore + randomizer. But I also like to get caught in the action with the surprise of having to reload.

Lol this mod is exactly what I asked for just now!
Did you have to tweak the exe file with hex editor to get rid of button prompts, or did it take more than that?
Edit: Is it possible to install this mod without mod manager?

No hex editing, the mod isnt perfect either as you can still see it somewhat on doors. You need the mod manager sorry I failed to mention that in the post.

I was able to edit the exe file with hex editor to get rid of the vignette effect for example. Would it be possible to change values in the hex editor to achieve nohud+reticle that way? I believe it must be an on/off value, as those icons only appear when nearby and disappear again, while the reticle is always visible. Edit: decreasing the proximity range of icons appearing to a negative number maybe will deactivate them? If thats not possible, decreasing the range to a minimum, so you would have to stand directly infront of the item for icons to appear. Just an idea

Snipz , thanks a lot for the mod! Just wondering, is there any possibility you could push the concept of this mod a bit more by disabling the countdown at the end of the game as well as the HUD linked to the D-pas/arrows when switching the weapons outside of the inventory? Even when disabling the HUD in the options they still appear which is quite annoying. Your welcome! I tried removing the countdown in the same way I removed the prompts (I removed the alpha on the texture for those icons so that it wouldn't render them, thus hiding them) The countdown does go away when I do it but the red underline is still present: You can see how it looks here
But I don't know how to remove the red underline. Or if it even has a texture as I haven't found it. And for the Quick switch UI when swapping weapons the method I mention I used for this wouldn't work so well as I would probably have to remove item/weapon icons for it to work but then they wouldn't be viewable in the main inventory. In other words I haven't disabled the prompts or the countdown I've just hid them. So for your request someone else would have to look into it sorry. Ooh this is perfect and something I've been looking for for months, even a red line is better than the numbers. How did you achieve this? / Is there any way you can share this?

I'm making a fanmade film of RE2 Remake but I would like the countdown to go away since Leon and Claire's would be very incongruent with each other lol

No Prompts! Classic RE2 StyleA highly requested mod by the community which was... actually a lot easier to pull off then I thought.
This mod removes button prompts for item pickups, interacting with the typewriter and various other objects. Whilst keeping the HUD and crosshair intact.
I made two versions for Xbox button layout and Crazy Potato PS4 Button layout here. It also works for PC Prompts but unfortunately it completely removes the left mouse button icon, so if you want to rebind it I reccomend uninstalling the mod first.
Will conflict with mods that edit: ui0000_iam.tex.10 ui2000_iam.tex.10
Download No Prompts
Download No Prompts PS4 Button Layout

This is a great mod. Thank you for it. I love it. Is it possible to do the opposite? No crosshair with prompts and hud still intact? I want to try it reverse . Thank you.
