You have to adjust it manually. If your mesh is already skinned beforehand to its own rig, you can use it to match the games charactets and their poses. In my owm experience i even had to change a character's arm length just so the can match... I tried, but I'm not able to do that. I was close, but not close enough, I also had scaling issue and the head did not match the body. Thank you anyway for the advice

I was wondering if the plugin/script would be available for Blender as well? Considering that I am more efficient on doing models with Blender than in Maya/Max, it would be a tad' disappointing for someone who looks forward to create mods in Blender.

Hi everyone. Exporting doesn't work for me and doesn't throw any errors, can someone give me an advice or tell me what i'm doing wrong ? Here's what i did precisely: - Import a model using the script and edit it in 3ds max (i just convert an object to editable poly and change proportions using push/pull tool in freeform, that's it). - Select all objects (5 lod groups) and run the export script. - Nothing happens and what i get is a newmesh file = 0kb. I don't use any third party models just the one i imported from the game, didn't import anything else. I also noticed that after converting the object to editable poly, the skin modifier was gone, so as a workaround i copied/pasted it. I'm a noob to this, any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the detailed guide.
Edit: Problem solved. Copy pasting skin modifier is no good, so i just applied skin wrap and used an untouched version of the model. Also i did change editable poly -> editable mesh when i finished editing (idk if that helped).

well problem is claire sheriff. i can import anything but her. i need her uv map i dont need uv map anymore. i write my problems on reskin topic
i try to import mesh to 3ds max as your video, my version is 2014. 3ds max get freeze forever im waiting loooong time. i noticed it used only %12 cpu, i cant find how to change it.
i have i7 6700K, GTX 1060 6GB OC, 16gb ram (x2 8gb), windows 8.1. i dont think my specs are too low. i previously had trash laptop and it load re5 meshes in 30 min. im tired to wait its freeze like an hour.
do you do any config to import faster?
edit: reinstalled NET Framework 3.5, now it doesnt give error but it still get frozen and doesnt import anything. i try to import your mod claire sheriff because i need uv map to can recolor better, maybe i should try different mods.

How do I exactly place the scripts? Change the directory then place at the folder, then that's it?

Hey all I was wondering if any of you more advance modder's can help me with and issue with missing model textures in a couple of specific cutscenes. photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipNdbeHx8vV4OrlheYX9A5gECgIb-TClFuh_LS5Aphotos.google.com/photo/AF1QipNYhvCjHLsuOLZuv3VUaijIbcrK3F6LOCrVxyuywith Annette it only happens in the scene after Marvin rescues Claire and they are chatting. with Ada it happens starting with the scene where Ada falls and gets injured (game switches from costume pl2001 to pl2002) untill Leon rescues her and they head for the cable car, and is fine for the rest of the game. I thought it my be the LOD issue mentioned earlier in this thread, but then it wouldn't be limited to very specific scenes? Anyways if any of you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks

How do I duplicate my model in the process of the tutorial? Do I have to do the process 5 times or do it to the LOD 1 and then import my model 4 more times and export all 5? Nobody has shown the proper process for duplicating the model. Do I finish the process and there I'd a shortcut I can't find to duplicate it? Help

Select the object in the Schematic view and press ctrl v and select instance and name your object LODGroup_2_MainMesh_1_SubMesh_1, then LODGroup_3_MainMesh_1_SubMesh_1, then LODGroup_4_MainMesh_1_SubMesh_1 and LODGroup_5_MainMesh_1_SubMesh_1, the first object you selected should be named LODGroup_1_MainMesh_1_SubMesh_1

Having a problem I can get my outfit in game but every time the body comes out with ripples here or there as if the skin wrap isnt working right and it throws everything off. I follow everything by the book on the tutorial yet when I go to export I always have a warning that edit normals modifier is still in the stack. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Edit: Found out I was using the wrong script file to import and export my meshes. The link has 2 scripts named exactly the same except one has xn after it and that is the correct one to use. The other will import the meshes but gives bad export of new meshes(in case someone else comes along the same minor mishap). Using 3ds max 2017 and came out with perfect mesh. www.nexusmods.com/residentevil22019/images/154
