amani see.. do you still have any idea how to fix this maybe? ------------------------------------- i also have the retail Disc version hm, maybe we can try this.. ThatGayModder™ can you maybe upload your RE5DX9.EXE and RE5DX10.EXE? it's unlikely but maybe there are small differences in the .exe files? the version of my exe is 1.0.0.129

@ Syndeh : My suspicion is Excella head use a different vertex format than other MOD file. The mesh flag 0x0820 only appears in Excella head mod, all other mod file have 0x0020. The low order byte (0x20) tell us how big the vertex structure is (=32 bytes). So at least the vertex struct size are the same. 0x08 could be a vertex type code. Anyway pick out a vertex from a working mesh and compare to a vertex in the head mesh may reveal what the issue is. It could be head mesh use a special vertex normal format for lighting calculation and the game engine mis-interpreted it.

hm i see...leaves the question why it works normal for some people.. i wonder if this is graphic card related... and yeah i noticed that only the head gets this error, not sure about the eye's but the upper hair look normal and gets right lighting. oh and please don't care about her eye's, i played around with the merge tool and her eyelids XD"

Strange also that her head is not only darkened, but has a clear cut merger her body with necks. I mean that your screenshots it has invisible and smooth transition as the whole model.

I installed Excella with head in game. As a result on DX9 of the without head, but dark head of Excella on DX10. It is a pity. I hope it will correct somehow=(
