This version does not work with Codex, when I press the "Launch Game" button it opens Steam. "Launch game" option is just there for convenience, it's not necessary to use ever. hm on the (activate trainer) Failed to hook: unsupported game version the other day it was fine. is there a detail to understand whats up with it? hm on the (activate trainer) Failed to hook: unsupported game version the other day it was fine. is there a detail to understand whats up with it? I'm having the exact same problem here for re2. Sad boi hours for ya boi:( The game got a patch yesterday and the trainer isn't compatible anymore (this is common with trainers). I'll try to get a new version uploaded later today. Hi Im getting this when I try to extract the modmanager.rar "[location]\modmanager.rar The archive is either in unknown format or damaged" I already turned off my anti-virus and redownload the file multiple times. Thanks www.fluffyquack.com/tools/modmanager.zip - Does this work? Fluffy, I have a "how to do this" question for you today... about your tool So I recently downloaded the Beachbody Mr X mod. I took the time to look at the rar file just so i can study how the folders are strucuted. the contents are quite simple actually, you have one in the sectionroot and another one in the streaming/sectionroot ... etc. I was looking at the database while testing installing and uninstalling the mod using your tool, and I could clearly see that your tool creates the appropriate folders taken from the .rar file when being installed and deletes them during uninstallation. (and it modifies the dlc.pak file too when installing a costume swap such as the hunk - sherriff mod) great stuff to learn from! So I did a test on my own, again with the Beachbody mod.
1 - I saved out a copy of the appropriate folders from the sectionroot and the streaming/sectionroot databases. 2 - i made sure to uninstall all the mods using your tool - therefore the natives database is clean and empty. 3 - I manually put the beachbody folders that i copied out into the same proper locations where they are supposed to be BUT - at this point, mr. X chose to keep his clothes on. Q1 : So why is this happening? I'm guessing there's more to it than just simply copying altered folders into correct locations? Q2 : If I wanted to test my own stuff, and create (properly structured) .rar mods will it work properly with your tool? Thanks!
edit: Did some tests and found the answer to Q2.
OMG Fluffy, your tool is a Godsend! not just for people who want to use mods, but for people who want to make mods! So you figured out the problem you were having?

We don't have a tool for creating PAK files yet. I know! I want to create a fake pak file or re_chunk_000.2! Can I create HxD? PLS HELP!!!! If you're asking to replace one of the PAK files with a dummy (aka 0-byte file), then that doesn't work with the main or patch PAK files because we don't know all the filenames within them. For the DLC PAK files, you extract all of the files from it into the game directory and then replace it with a 0-byte file with the same name.

yes and no.
yes to question #2 in that your tool makes it so easy and intuitive to make mods.
but in the first question, I'm wondering why just simply swapping out the appropriate files in the appropriate locations doesnt work? wheras when we do this thru your tool it works.

The game prioritizes loading files from the PAK archives. If it can't find a file within one of the PAK archives, then it will try to load it outside of the PAK archives as an ordinary file. My mod manager works by finding mod files corresponding to file entries within the PAK archives, and then it invalidates those entries making the game think those files don't exist in the PAK archives. In the long run, I imagine people will find alternate ways to load files. Maybe by creating all new PAK files, or maybe by editing the game code responsible for file loading, or something else. But for now, this is the only method we have.

Sorry, it only supports mods in RAR form (or extracted to its own directory). I'm using the official RAR library for RAR support, and I haven't looked into adding zip or 7zip support.
