Hello, I am very new to your website and is in need of your assistance. I've tried downloading some mods from Nexus but has some mods that are acquired only from you. Will you please help teach me how to mod some of my games properly, starting with Re2 remake?

I'm experiencing an issue that after a while the mod manager doesn't launch properly, I have to redownload it to fix it. It launches the minimize maximize and close bar to the top left of my screen and doesn't do anything other than that.

After using this MOD manager quite a bit, switching between mods. Sometimes it won't uninstall a mod, and the mod stays installed for good even though there's no green check mark next to the mod. I have to verify the game cache through Steam to fix it. What files do I need to back up to fix this, so I don't have to re-download RE2 all over again?
NOTE: I use reshade with a different EXE file that gets rid of the vignette in game, so not sure if this will affect anything.

Does it help if you delete [modmanager]\data\config.cfg? After using this MOD manager quite a bit, switching between mods. Are you using latest version of the mod manager?

Are you using latest version of the mod manager? Yes, I am. It's a great mod manager too, used it lots with RE6 and RE2 Remake. I backed up my entire game unmodded, just in case this happens again.

And another version from someone else, but I forgot his name. I can post the download link here if you need it.
Also the beachboy X mod.
Thanks for the reply, I'll let you know if it happens again.

Since it worked for someone else, you can try deleting [modmanager]\data\config.cfg Does it help if you delete [modmanager]\data\config.cfg? Yes, now works again. Thanks! The problem was probably the position of the window. It gets saved to config.cfg when you quit the program, and next time you start it it will re-appear in that location. But it's never supposed to save a position which makes it offscreen. I should be able to add a check to make it so it will refuse to get moved to an invalid position. Are you running the latest version? Alternatively, you can try running it as admin. Or you could try moving it to a different location and run it there.

You may be right, I have double monitors and play some old games that launch in low resolution fullscreen that change the location of my opened windows.

You may be right, I have double monitors and play some old games that launch in low resolution fullscreen that change the location of my opened windows. That definitely sounds like the cause then. That means you can use one of these fixes: - Delete config.cfg - Manually edit config.cfg (change win_posX and win_posY to 50) - After booting up the program, press alt+space, then press M, then tap any directional key, and then move your mouse to re-position the window anywhere you want. (This works in most Windows programs, so it's a useful tip if you ever get the same problem in another program.) But either way, I'll try to implement an automatic workaround for this in an update.
