well, can u tell me how to switch characters at a save point...? Like I've already used Leon swap to ada, well... now I can not swap back to Leon... Even I'm at a typewriter... How to do it wiz the trainer...? - Load savegame. - Move items into item box. - Click on "copy player position" in trainer. - Go back to main menu. - Change character in trainer and load savegame. - Click on "paste player position" in trainer. You forgot "Save the game" before going back to the main menu It's starting to sound like you encountered a problem I haven't seen before. It happened a few time to me too. It's hard to explain but basically you're locked out of interactive items. It often happens after a cutscene if you're not the right character, but it's not consistent. It's like if the game had exclusive actions for the character "Claire/Leon" and being anyone else lock you out. It's weird. If you're looking into improving the trainer, it could be useful to add something like "revert to Leon" and "revert to Claire", because if we load a savegame in which we had a character swap (so if I saved as Annette for example), there is no way for me with mod manager to revert my change... Since the mod manager specifically change "Claire/Leon", not any other character you are now registered as. It's not unsolvable since I can still use Memory Editor and use your tutorial, but it might not be as intuitive for others. Edit: well judging by ryx46's post, it's doable by repeating the process of saving and all but I'm pretty sure last time I tried it didn't work, I stayed as Sherry despite tasking the trainer to put Claire as Claire and saving.

Honestly, I doubt I'll do anything more with memory editing with RE2 as there are quite a few people making trainers now, and I think my time would be better spent elsewhere (like making a texture converter which I'm working on right now) I did finish making one more feature for my trainer though, which is teleporting to pre-defined locations (I've got a list of 20 locations in the trainer). I haven't tested it much, but latest version has an updated trainer which works with latest English patch: www.fluffyquack.com/WIP/modmanager.rar - It also lets you swap to/from Katherine, Ghost, and Daniel.

Excellent! Thank you! Everything seems to be working as far as I can tell. There's just a very small oddity. Using Daniel (Sheriff) in the main campaign does bring him with his animations, his own inventory, his grunts from No way Out... But he doesn't have any facial animation (he doesn't blink, doesn't have expression when bitten/attacked etc.). He also comes automatically with a bloody neck/face (since that's the story mesh variant) and has a floaty bit of flesh on his shoulder. Is it because there are two instances of a playable Daniel? Or a side-effect of simply using Daniel in the main story (like his facial bones don't get loaded or something)? Katherine seems to have a similar issue though it's more specific. She has the correct animations and idles, the grunts, her eyes blink, but she also doesn't have facial animation when attacked. Weird. Edit1: This seems to be exclusive to the main campaign since replacing Katherine,Kendo,Ghost with Daniel makes him fully functional (with facial animations). Edit2: lol playing as Daniel in the intro makes you extremely bloody after the zombie encounter

He becomes progressively worse. So yeah, I think these are all side effects of using these characters in the campaign.

I guess not all bones are loaded when you choose certain models in the main campaign for optimization or something. Might be a conflict resulting in the prefab coming with all the playable character content (grunts, animations, etc.) but facial animations not being loaded since they are never used in the story during playthroughs for the character... E.g. Since Daniel already exist within the campaign and is used as basically a props for a cutscene, the game doesn't bother loading the rest of his unused content when bringing the prefab over. I'm a bit puzzled for Katherine though, because she doesn't appear anywhere in the game as a character, so there shouldn't be any conflict resulting in certain elements not being loaded. She has a unique idle that at least make her blink, but facial expressions aren't loaded. I don't know how Capcom programmed this but I would have assumed that bringing up character prefabs would actually load everything at once without exception. Edit: Ok now I'm confused. Being hit by lickers gives expressions to Katherine. Being in caution/danger also give facial expression. Same for Kendo. None of them have any emotion when bitten. And Daniel remains stoic whatever happens.

Thanks. It's 1515222A8 in the newest English patch, but you could also use the trainer in my mod manager to have these changes be done automatically.
