When it comes to ransomware there really isn't much you can do to get past it. Encryption is something that takes a stupidly long time to crack depending on the encryption method. In my operating systems class at university we briefly touched on ransomware and its dangers. In almost all cases it's impossible to recover your data from ransomware unless you pay up. This is why you should always ALWAYS have off-site backups in place for any data that you want to protect. The Keys for the ransomware are usually stored off site on individual computers which means that even the ransomware software doesn't know what the correct key is until it's entered. Brute forcing the key would more than likely take years. My condolenses for your friend and his loss of data. I have been there myself (not with ransomware, but massive hard drive crashes) The only help I can offer is to suggest a complete format and re-install of the operating system, and to purchase external hard drives that will be plugged in for backup purposes and removed once the files have been added.

Thank you for your participation i appreciate it, fortunately my friend magically found an engineer from Moscow who provided him with 2mb size tool which helped him decrypt his files back..
