It DEFINITELY helped with performance plenty! But it did definitely introduce a bunch of bugs. The menus disappear, you can still see the buttons being highlighted, but most of the images + text for the menus disappear. Alongside this, lots of the world becomes black & sometimes Claire's ponytail will disappear, return, disappear, and then return, alongside her hands, and a bit past her wrists become black too. (Unless some of the world turning black is normal and such, in which case, if it let me play personally, then I'm honestly fine with this.)

Yeah it needs more work. But the stuttering issue is driving me insane! I don't think I'll find a way around it. I haven't really played the game beyond the first few scenes. Does this mod improve the stuttering and lags at all?? even a bit?

As I type this post out, the game is open, and I'm trying to test stuff out.
Also, I didn't mention this last time, but I didn't really have any proper save data apparently, at least, not one that wasn't corrupted potentially, so I started fresh. I'm just going through Episode 1, and playing little bits of pieces where it's usually most noticably lagging, jittery/stuttery, etc. I'm currently at the point where you first have to switch from Claire to Moira.
• IMMEDIATELY, I've noticed that the world looks fine again, things are no longer black including Claire sometimes herself, with the exception of menu graphics still disappearing, but the text shows as it's now supposed to again, making the menu's able to be navigated.
• The performance has also surely improved, as I stated last time. Turning this on and off makes IMMEDIATE difference in performance.
• I'm pretty sure it's for performance sake, in which case it's fine but, Moira's flashlight no longer gives off light, but it's not that bothersome, just a detail I've noticed. • I'm not sure what the cause is, but after Alt+Tabbing now, and it could've always been an issue, I just haven't played TOO much enough to notice? But the mouse will start showing again, and thanks to the game having a border, the mouse can't go beyond it and possibly click on anything on accident, but it's still pretty vexing regardless. • I think the stuttering MAY have been slightly decreased? But I can't tell for sure if that came from using the mod, or from the stuff I searched up in attempt to ease the stuttering, but the stuttering is mostly decreased when I have it on, so it might just be the mod after all. (If it can't be fixed, you might have to disable the mod before grabbing them? I have to re-open the game to test this, but I'll do it the next time I open the game.) I'll edit this post to confirm or deny if that helps/if it's even the mod in teh first place.)
• Just now, after picking up the Experiment Block key, the game seemed to crash. The game did this last time, but it was after I'd sent in my last testing results, and I hadn't gotten around to reporting it. I think there's images that comes up when you collect key items maybe, but those images seem to crash the game with this activated.
I'll make sure to send in any more info I can think of that I should send the next time I open it up to test it!
EDIT: The game doesn't crash when I pick it up with the mod deactivated, but I also tested the waters, and while the image/model of the keys loaded up and such of the like, I activated it while it was still on-screen, and it was fine, even when it disappeared.

Thanks for the feedback;) one of the things the mod does to improve performance is skip a query function call the game makes to DirectX. This call is practically useless and only causes drops in framerate. However, there seem to be very rare occasions where the engine needs that call to go through, and if at that particular instant the mod is active, the game will crash. But once that single call goes through, reactivating the mod won't cause a crash. I haven't been able to create a mechanism for the mod to predict those calls and let them go through, unfortunately. By the way, I did some reading around the web about people's issues with this game. It is clear as daylight to me now that the culprit is terrible terrible programming for the PC platform, which is clearly not due to lack of skill on the part of Capcom's programmers. It's simply that they don't give a damn about PC gamers, clearly. Such a huge bug as this would be normally fixed very quickly with a patch. But Capcom has chosen to turn a blind eye on PC players. It is very unfortunate. With decent programming (not BEST, just decent!) this game would be as smooth as silk. In any case, my gut tells me the thing causing the lags and stutters is probably some "caching" technique the engine chooses to employ for textures or shadows. Unfortunately there is no way to fix that without having the "blueprints" for the graphics engine the game is using. I'm personally not sure I feel excited enough to play Revelations 2 for now. I should go back to finishing RE Zero! BIG UPDATE!I just went to play the game anyway. I don't know how much it owes to the patch, if any at all, but the annoying lags and stutters seems to become less and less as the game progresses. It's far more playable than I originally thought! But the crash got the better of me when (I think) a cutscene triggered. Gotta be careful with those I guess! One major improvement over RE:ZERO and REHD is that the game is perfectly playable even without the patch. The other two where totally and absolutely impossible! BIGGER UPDATE!!!Version 3 (1.3) is ready. I've updated the first post with the link. Fixed the issue with 2 things disappearing: the aiming reticle and the light from Moira's flashlight. Also changed the mod toggle key to RIGHT SHIFT alone. much easier to do quick swaps! btw, I use a fix from this page: steamcommunity.com/app/287290/discussions/0/610574394225605706/I applied FIX #2 (only the two graphics settings in the config file) Maybe that has something to do with the drop in stuttering.

Thank you so much for this and finally someone thinking about the gamers who suffering with a weak PC wish it lead to slow game experience and is for you tool it's working smother with single player but when i play in the split screen with my brother the FPS get dropped so hard but at least it's better than before but it's still there some lag and just to let you know this is my PC system specs just so if would optimize your tool for it: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit) Genuine Intel® CPU 585 @ 2.16GHz Mobile Intel® 45 Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) RAM 4 GB

Unfortunately I don't think the performance can be increased any further without significant loss of graphical detail. On my system it runs silky smooth. My specs are: Intel Core i3 1.9GHz / 4GB RAM / Gfx card: integrated Intel HD 4000 (shared VRAM)

Now only did this fix the issue with Moira's flashlight and the Aiming Reticle, but it also fixes some smaller specific parts of the Graphic UI/like the bottom right herb image, and some of the imagery DIRECTLY behind the text, (not the hex like parts of the UI, it's hard to detail which.)
Also, you mentioned the more that you progress, the less lags and stutters there are. There were lots of cases where after a bit of time of playing, it went down, but is there any way to fix that in itself? Is there any particular reason behind the initial lag and stuttering? (Aside from the plainly bad programming.)
Hi. The lags are really weird. I really can't tell why they are happening. It appears, though, that certain things can fix them or make it better. I tried many things and FINALLY something worked! I was running on 32-bit Windows 8.1. I tried it on 64-bit Windows 10. NO MORE FREEZING, MUCH LESS STUTTERING!! It's just so weird...
