Hello
I wanna know if it's possibe to change weapon attributes like making guns fire projectiles, increasing or decreasing splash damage, fire rate and other stuff
i wanna put Wunderwaffe from CoD series, more specifically, i wanna include the version from one of the zombie mods that fired projectiles fully automatically with good splash damage like here kinda like toned-down plasma rifle from doom, sorry for poor quality of the video
skip to 1:03
it's not one hit kill weapon but it does great splash damage to large groups and i would like to include that here and the gun is just badass
so i would like to know if it's possible to make something like this and import it in re4?
any help would be appreciated

I'm pretty sure these attributes are hard coded into the game exe and could only be modified with an understanding of the games engine. Another possibility is that there is some unknown file that contains this information. The truth is there has never been any (to my knowledge), any research on this area of inquiry. Presently we don't even know if this engine even uses hit boxes or whether there are certain damages done by bone assignments/vertex weight. There is some discussion about hit boxes here: www.speedrun.com/re4/guide/3sahj But I am on able to see any download or anything that explains how this works… If we were able to look at how others were able to modify these elements we might be able to start researching this more. Also, there are still many files that we have no understanding of what so ever, particularly the REL files and some of the unidentified files/archives contained within the UDAS archives. Cheers and Happy Modding.

LOL if there are no hitboxes u cant hit anything so ur saying that not all the files fully explored cuz they are so well encrypted and we should ask capcom? well thnx anyways i'll just stick with what i know for now and happy modding to u 2

Awesome Info David. Infernal and Albert are the best there are when it comes to this. I wish Infernal was still around because I already have list (an actual list) of questions I need answers to. He knows an incredible amount about things no one else does. I'm sure he could shed some light on this.
I might have a look at those tools for fun some day but right now I'm knee deep in my Resident Evil Remaster mod (something Infernal did with his skills).

Also looking at that video it appears he has edited the eff file in the EMxx.udas archive. I'm not sure that he actually changed the damage inflicted or not.

Mr.Curious , the damage that the enemy receives when his life ends, his body becomes dark when he receives the damage of the fire, he change that effect-damage, here another one of his works "Krauser Arrow-Explosive" ( video from another user, but it's an Infernal mod )

Yes you are correct. It does appear the damage is more than what I thought. As you can see, even enemies in the distance are burned from the shotgun!
I think the way Infernal learned these things was to watch what processes were happening witha program. I know he used cheat engine to watch for things with other programs.

In short you need to edit quite a few enemy reaction animations plus effects to get this. Or hack the exe/make a trainer for it and change a few function pointers.

@raz0r , I see, quite interesting, at this point there is much to learn in re4 and Re4UHD.
