So how does this mod differ from other already present Jill mods/rigs already out there; you may be wondering? - This Jill mod is a direct port from RE5, meaning all her original rig has been converted to work with her Revelations skeleton.
- Unlike other Jill RE5 / Julia Voth face mods, this one doesn't suffer from ugly facial expressions and errors because the original rigging is intact.
- This Jill mod doesn't have a pale face or very bright odd hair texture, every texture was ported over from RE5 and carefully adjusted to match the game's tone, including the face, hair, and eyes and her normal and MM maps.
- For wetsuit, carried over her arms from RE5 complete with BM, NM, MM...chest was carried over from her RE5 battlesuite costume and carefully adjusted to her Revelations body model. Also features a 2X bigger body texture, high poly gear and improved parts like the headset wire from the original (which didn't exist in RE5 and in Rev was basically a set of 3 faces of polygons)
Current progress:
- Swimsuit %99 Complete: No more duck lipped Jill, enjoy playing as Jill as it should've been in the first place.
- BSAA Jill %99 Complete: Without the cap; with all its high poly model and hi-res texture glory with the original RE5 rigging also intact!
To-do:
Fix nasty UV bug (fixed, was caused by merged objects).
Fix hair alpha issues (done).
Update low LOD UVs on BSAA Suit. (Hidden and now it shows high poly model always)Apply Earpiece wire update to swimsuit costume once done with BSAA Jill
- Fix bug in original swimsuit where belts on the left arm would clip through (low poly/bad original rigging?)
- Update all body textures to 2X res (Swim suit)
Future to-do:
- Secret Costume
- Pilot Demo Jill SFX Port - Not done yet (need to find the accurate codec used for the game?)
- Look into LMT editing possibilities.
What next? - A few other ports from other games in their original rigs with everything working flawlessly, if anyone requests them
- Some other custom model mods (my own models or mesh mods)
I will post a video showing her face animation and lip sync and how PERFECT it is once its complete

Good news guys, she is almost finished, fixed all uv and alpha issues (turns out I had to keep some objects split so the UV exports correctly! note to self: don't combine objects/vertices which its UVs are not combined), first release is soon hopefully! I dont want to keep you waiting until I do all the other costumes.

Yes I couldn't agree more, the funny thing is her in-game 3DS model is basically the same, just changed texture for the face, however for the HD versions they completely replaced her face with a higher quality version of the new face... no offense but I'm not a fan of her new face model or voice, I dislike them both, Julia Voth was perfect and Patricia Ja Lee/Heidi Anderson/Catherine Disher did her voice best. Update on mod, sorry for the delay, her wetsuit costume is already finished but I'm working on her BSAA costume too so you guys can have them both at once while I work on something new for her.

Patricia did an incredible job to convey her character. Until now, I can not understand why they just took and discarded them along the way, because early the game of Mercenaries 3D and Revelations had her voice and face. It's a shame! I hate the series of Revelations, just because of the design, because they spoil all the characters that were there - Jill, Claire. It is a pity that the cutscenes are pre-rendered, so that you can't enjoy this fixed the face a more.

Capcom likes to change voice actors at random, that was referenced in yeti112's parody as well, but appearently they like to change faces as well, like in RE7 with chris but at least he doesn't look like a steroid gorrila anymore anyways, swimsuit is as good as it is

I mean, why you need to change what everyone loves and nobody asks about this. It's completely stupid to make a change in what works so well for you.

Yes ever since that trailer was announced I fell in love and then the actual released Jill disappointed me, it turns out they probably did that to reduce costs. Same goes for the real time cutscenes being replaced with pre-rendered scenes, to reduces costs and hardware usage (and actually have the cutscenes look better than real time on the 3ds). But still, I personally would have prefer real time, because at any rate if the game is remastered the cut-scenes would look great and our mods would work in them too.... but yeah... Capcom being Capcom. I wish its just that but Capcom sacrificed a lot to make this game work on the 3DS, while porting Jill I noticed a lot of extra bones in RE5 (Leg curves, holsters, equipment separate bones, etc...) which Revelations doesn't use. Let's also not mention the total lack of physics (the awful way the boxes break compared to RE5) - of course I don't blame them for 3DS Limitations but I blame them for not adding these features back to the remaster, because there is no excuse but laziness.

Awesome work! Can't wait to play the game with this mod. I don't know what's with Capcom and face models/voice actors. They're probably the only ones in the gaming industry constantly messing up their characters by taking stupid decisions (like replacing R.C. Smith in RE7 and T.J. Rotolo in Dead Rising 4 while calling them back for Marvel vs Capcom Infinite ). JacobMrox, Julia Voth gave an interview a few years ago where she stated that Capcom has any right to use her face as Jill's... meaning that they just paid another model (Amra Silajdžić) even though they could just save the money by keeping Julia's face. I cannot find the source anymore, sorry, but I'll make sure to update this post if I find it back. I hope I'm wrong, but it's safe to assume Capcom won't call her back to scan her with photogrammetry despite her willingness to be part of the franchise. Luckily the RE community have people like you to do their job and fix their mistakes! By the way, when you said: "high poly model and hi-res texture glory with the original rigging" for BSAA Jill, do you mean that you directly port her model + her textures from RE5? Keep up the good work!

Yes, directly but I'm also upping the resolution for MM and NM to match the BM ones so you're gonna get extra higher quality roughness/shine and bump effects.

Update: Since her Earpiece wire is low poly in rev and does not exist in RE5, I'm taking it upon myself to remake it (and any other awful looking parts necessary) Original on the right, new on the left (work in progress). Also making more sense out of it by connecting it to the device (the original just goes straight in her shirt lol)

Thank you, I don't want to release a mod full of bugs either, I really care about perfectionism >.< Edit: Now I managed to export correctly, script is so bitchy lol, here's BSAA Jill "Rev Style" with "RE5 Meshes" and "RE5 Rig" and improved MM/NM and Accurate (non-pale) skin. Other characters like Parker look inferior now in terms of quality, lol.

Hello guys, just to let you know, this mod isn't dead and it's still being worked on, I just didn't have enough time to work on it in the past couple of days... among other things...
So I've been thinking, I had a whole different idea, a completely original costume to replace her pirate costume, then I just remembered Vanessa from PN03 (a very underrated Capcom game which was part of the Capcom Five deal with Nintendo, REmake and RE4 too were part of that deal), Vanessa's model is based on Jill's remake model, and since she's a dancer fighter and Jill's pirate costume skill is "Shadow Dancer" to dodge attacks, you can see what I'm thinking!
So I began extracting the models in hope that I could port it to Revelations and lord do they look ugly (but great for the time they were made in!). So now, I'm working on her face, remastering the original head and hair, but what do you guys wanna see, a Vanessa costume for Jill with Jill's head as it is or a Vanessa head remaster (which I'm currently working on, but the UV is a bitch)? but eitherway, I think they both look very similar, Vanessa even uses Jill's remake head model and texture, although "slightly modified" (modifications being slightly thinner lower lip and dark eye shadows).
I think I will also have two variations, one with shades and one without shades, for the shades variation, I will make her shades glasses transparent (no reason to hide them now, Capcom didn't bother working on her eyes position either! that's why they were hidden, I suppose?)
