Hi, In my free time I want to remake or recreate the classic resident evil games (1-0,CV and outbreaks), but I want to do it respecting all possible the original art and improve if it is possible but with the original design in mind. And here comes the problem, i want use all the original assets Capcom used that we can find to achieve the best fidelity. Most texture materials are easily replaceable with similar or better textures but my problem is with the ornamental designs like carpets, damasks, textiles, plaster and carvings, etc. And here is where I want to ask your help to find all we can, not only for me or this project but for all mod comunity can use it for his resident projects, a solidary movement to share all the resources we can, this is what a community means What we are searching? texture sources, or the better version/quality of the texture we can find on a game (I don't have modern residents to extract textures and models) or web, or if this pattern ornament exist in some place like a palace or mansion or shop, mention it where we can find it. If someone can extract the 3d background models and textures from Code Veronica and Outbreaks to recreate them I will be very thankful because I can't and I don't know how to do on these 3 games. So, meanwhile I gradually put the patterns, textures, ornaments I am searching; I post some images of I am working (wips). You can put material I am not asking for at the moment. More Thanks.

I have the spencer mansion levels from RE: Umbrella Chonicles and the Antartica laboratory from RE: DsC on my Unity project, I didn´t ported them yet as I´m more focused on RE6. But I have got 2 RE: Outbreak rooms. (For XNA Lara, but they should be in obj format). In my Unity project I also have the staff room of the J´s bar and the cellar storage room, half done, however, these weeks are too stressing for me so I haven´t gor plans to finish them soon... (RE Outbrak environment are quite tough to extract, because the tool allows to extract the meshes but not the positions of these ones, so all of them are overlaped in the origin point of the scene. /// To hide the images, you have to do it in the "Edit post" of "Extended post" window. (When you write a post, you can do it at the bottom with "Quick Reply" or at the top right with the purple button of "Reply", if you press this last one, you will go to a window for write an extended post, and over it, you will see a pack of mini buttons, the last one at the right, (the little smiley face with the finger on the lips) is to set the spoiler tags. If you are in to html code, you can write them too in the BBCode mode, at the bottom left of the post writing area.

Thanks! I have all the backgrounds of umbrella and darkside chronicles they are easy to extract but thanks! The outbreak's backgrounds, yes, I have read they are hard to obtain... don't worry. If other people contribute maybe we can collect all the backgrounds. Thanks for share, I appreciate a lot And I see you have from RE6 too!

Nice job really it looks amazing so far with what youve done cant wait to see more :DDD Thank you :$ Now I'm organizing and searching things to work properly and leave all prepared and ready to work on it. Thanks to the links Adngel shared with us I saw resident revelations models and I found a texture motif that I had with a high resolution and I didn't know that were used in a resident game! So here I share with you the wallcovering in high resolution but unfortunately is not tileable: Revelations and here the texture I found time ago:

I added, in the second post, new patterns I was searching. I put another iconic texture I shared time ago: There are another version in vector format but it isn't mine. I am finishing to extract collision data of the spencer's mansion before I start to recreating it.

I know Welsh when he was around, had some info on all those old source textures, there was a set of books/resources Capcom might have used however in terms of physical or digital forms they don't exist (as far as I know anyway.) Hate to say it but with these you will have to try and find a texture that is similar in design and create your own, that's what i'm doing anyway.

The wallpaper texture I put in my last post I find it in an antique ornamental/motif designs book and I made it tiling. I believed to find another design but I don't know if Capcom modified it beacause had some diference. But in my books I don't see a lot of them... If I can't find it I will do what you say.

classicbiohazard : Apart from the fact that Capcom reuses a lot of their assets in all of their games (So DmC's might worth a look), I actually found out something interesting about Revelations 1 PC version. They used a lot of textures from RE5's Lost in Nightmares DLC in lower resolutions for the most part AND some textures from... CGTextures! For instance, here's a wooden crate texture from Rev 1 s100_1_scroll.arc on the left, and the source image from CGTex on the right (Free version): I was able to recreate a 1024x1024 of this same texture almost 1:1, whereas the original is just 256x256. The funniest thing being that the source image was actually one of the first to show in it's category, so sometimes... Go for the most obvious ressource you can think of!

EVERGREEN Thanks! I remember find one or two in cgtextures, i will search more. It will help on modern games but with older games, psx era, they couldn't use it because this web didn't exist on these days. I searched on the 3ds max textures and Datacraft Sozaijiten too and I only found a few but not ornamental, well, maybe one or two ornament.

Yes, the room to the courtyard Because the original game doesn't have a lamp to iluminate the room, I took the oil lamps they put in the room to iluminate it. And I made some test with different combination, which you prefer? It has a good effect but maybe too dark. Maybe if I use volumetric light or fog I can lighten the room without loose this effect.

The lamp look like a nice touch i love it will this be an actual game or ?
