Never mind. It's confirmed to just be a classic ps2 title release for PS4. Laaaaaaaaaaame. It's a solid game, I'm surprised Capcom doesn't just do a retro anniversary and port the games overs via Steam, PS4 shop and Xbox 1 shop. I mean they'd make a good amount of money, since newer games these days are becoming more expensive with less content, *ahem* RE7 *cough*

It seems less likely we'll get a PC version of CVX now.
Anyone ever had any luck getting the font textures extracted for the 360 version? I've wanted to do a translation but it seems few people have tried to mod CV so the arctool wasn't set up for it.

From the trailer it looks like it uses the old engine not MTF. Also 4:3

While, I wanted to see the return of the widescreen format and updated shadows from the Code Veronica HD 2011 release (PS3 and XB360, I found almost all the other changes to be terrible.
I can't overstate just how much I disliked most of the new changes made with the 2011 release...
A)lighting or more accurately, the complete lack of it... it not only looks bad, it breaks the original design/intent of the original developers.
Furthermore there is no consistency with how they handle the lighting, in some cases objects are lit up as if they are there own light source (paper and objects on floors/tables)and then surrounded by nothing but complete darkness. Throughout the "remastered" game, there are now just huge swaths of the game that some how defies logic, as light may not enter and it not only looks bad, but it makes the end user think they need to adjust the brightness of their screen, only to discover that this was in fact by design...
B1)grain filter and the B2)horrible blur, both remove detail and just look visually bad.
In summary, I would like to see a return of the 2011 version of the game with lighting that captures the original authors intent, along with the updated shadows, the original cinematic models replacing the ingame models, 1080p (or greater) at 30 or 60fps... this means no absence of light, no filters and no blur... Maybe we will see something more like this in a future re release and if not maybe a Code Veronica X Remake that sticks with the original art direction of this classic title, something in the vein of the first Remake.
