...to pull the character images from the "briefcase menu" screen? I'm looking to high res versions of those images - one for each costume - but can't find any promotional versions of them (only in different poses, etc.)?
I understand screenshotting would be an idea but wondered if there was anything in the game files?

Well, in NativePC -> arc -> ui, there are the cos_XX files (e.g., cos_7d.arc), and inside those there are texture files (which you'd need to convert into .dds files with ARCtool) that look like the ones used in the game. The problem is, like the menu in REmaster, these files are purple and green with a greyscale alpha channel, and somehow the game translates those purples and greens into the appropriate colors. I've been trying to figure out how to do just that, but it's way out of my expertise. As-is, all you're gonna get are some strangely colored images (or, if you don't mind black and white, you could just save the alpha channel as a .png or whatever). That said, the image size is only 400x548 anyway, so it's probably not worth it. (But if anyone DOES know how to deal with Capcom's tricky pixel color nonsense, get back to me.) (EDIT: This topic inspired me to Google again, found z6.invisionfree.com/Resident_Evil_4_PC/index.php?showtopic=22193&st=200, see: Dark Samus's post and the response. I notice now that the green channel IS just green and not-green, i.e., would make more sense for it to be the alpha channel, so there must be a solution!)

Thanks for replying. I think we have different trains of thought - I'm not really after the skins themselves but the pictures of the models on the briefcase screen in-game (in high res).
Hope you find what you're looking for though
