Regarding the Natalia being to young and inexperienced concerns, this could easily be remedied with a time jump for RE7 with it taking place years after RE6 and could pave the way for Natalia being a adult and a powerful woman resources and business wise, maybe she took over another pharmaceutical company and built it into powerhouse akin to Umbrella by the time the events of RE7 has taken place.
It would not be out of the realm to do a time jump of that nature and simply have it fleshed out at later points in the game, I mean look at the time jump RE4 took and how Leon went form a rookie cop to a seasoned special agent who was personally trusted to save the president's daughter.

But so far every main RE takes place in the year when it was released, so that means 2017,18. Of course they can change that, but they havnt done it until now. And if they would make a jump, then to much charackters would be way to old for the main audience.

Um,well. Let's hope it has: 1.Horror atmosphere (seriously, H-O-R-R-O-R) 2.Survival gameplay (scarce ammo and herbs etc) 3.Both camera (classic and RE4 style) 4.Old characters (Leon,Chris,Jill,Ada,rebecca, and seriously,I MISSED the fucking Barry-Badass-Burton and Josh) 5.Zombies,real zombies. Not those J'avos and super soldiers bullshit.Majinis and Ganados is okay. (just make sure they are lesser than the zombies) 6.Claustrophobic places.Dark, cold, gloomy, foggy, and cemetery rooms. 7.Dismemberment.Zombies could be gibbed by certain guns. 8.Old inventory system.I like how they managed to do the RE4 inventory. 9.Badass villain. 10.Determinant story (we are free to choose which way we're going to finish the game.Your battle, your way) 11. I'm out of idea lol.

Not really, as zombieali said above RE6 was set in 2013 but released in 2012 and RE4 was set in 2004 but was released in 2005. And the time jump does not have to be major, a 8 year time jump would be reasonable and would still let characters like Jill,Chris,Leon, Claire, or even Rebecca still appear in a Resident Evil game and still be able to contribute to the story, I mean look how old Barry is during the events of Revelations and he still was in fighting condition and did not look all that bad.

Given Natalia will be around 16 years old I don't see why she can't be a villain.
This game. Woo Lord. Will it finally be the conclusion to the series? I'd love a reboot afterwards.

I hope this game does not end of resident evil serie but if it is i think they must use all characters (leon-claire-chris-jill-ada-ashley-barry) (and nemesis! ) i know they are remaking re2 but it's just a remake it's time to see leon and claire again together in main story but! Most of all, i love to see merchant again! i miss him so much... He was profiteering and Although he was spoofing seller! but he was kind and funny too!! and i loved him! (just one time i shot him fully accidentally and then I was so upset for him!! I wanted to do first aid for him!!! but obviously i couldn't ) by the way i loved classic versions but in this time the classic camera is not acceptable (my opinion) it's good as an option only and nothing more, so therefor i cant accept re1 & re0 remakes searching for wooden door's keys in middle of a disaster! really??!!! in my opinion the game should be like re2 movie (just my personal opinion) zombies, horror,a big explorable city, dark, searching for stuff in city (ammo, weapons, herbs, bags and holsters, even new costume...) or buying and customizing weapons by merchant way... 3 camera: classic, over shoulder like re4 but adjustable, and maybe a fps for cod fans! and... (but every time they say ok but at last we see same mistakes again and again... ) so the solution is simple: just give us a modding tools... pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeee..... (my mean is a stage editor. character editor and a scripting system)

Yea, I hope, they forget about Natalia and either do something entirely new or bring Wesker back- it's not like his death in pre REmake RE1 stopped him from returning in CV. But wouldn't that be a waste though? Why set up a cliffhanger like that and not expand upon it? It simply would be a dumb move on their part, I'm a HUGE Albert Wesker fan and I still maintain till this day that he deserved a better and more epic death (The surviving S.T.A.R.S members should have killed him not just Sheva and Chris) but I think it was a good time to kill Wesker off and start anew, the franchise needs something fresh as far as a main antagonist goes and I think they could pull off something great with Natalia/Alex Wesker, there really is no need in bringing back Albert back now especially since his death had some finality to it and some fans may view it as a asspull to have him come back from the dead yet again. Sequel bait, mostly or something to not end the game on a happy note. Also due to being episodic and all cliffhangers were kinda this games thing (even if some were complete bullshit...) so it could play to that too. As for Alex- I've found her to be a very weak vilain- she was poorly established, had almost no development and her plan was so stupid that it didn't surprise me when it backfired. But if she returned as Natalia they would have to move the setting into the future a couple of years. Also since it's Natalia you'd need to have someone with some connection to her for the stakes to be high. Seeing as Claire had no connection to her(to absolute surprise of everyone who played RE2) and Barry possibly being to old for anything at that point, you'd be left with Moira, the worst character in the series. To me the best they could do is to leave the revelations plots to revelations sequels and focus on something else

I'm personally sick of the fact they are trying to appeal to all fans. I hope CAPCOM will find a niche and stick to it.

I don't know how I'd feel about a time jump ahead for Natalia's sake, the series is already having some science fiction vibes from the underwater facility in China, and the BSAA gear, and cube thingies, so a time jump, would no doubt have flying cars or civil right for B.O.W.s, it'd be harder to render fear if bio terrorism is the norm, which it is so far leaning toward in the series.
A reboot would be a bad idea in my opinion as then Capcom would just go full action then, since that seems the easiest for them to crank the series thus far with Umbrella Corps. Rather they need to have a fresh idea, whilst set in the already established lore (however wonky).

I hope they don't go too crazy with that "return to the roots" thing. They've just recently announced REmake 2, they can and frankly should go full classics there with fixed cameras and stuff. With RE7 I don't mind at all if the tone down the mood to RE4 levels, but gameplay-wise they should at least keep all RE6 combat mechanics, it would be an absolute tragedy to lose those.

To me the best they could do is to leave the revelations plots to revelations sequels and focus on something else Sequel bait you say? I still maintain that it would be a dumb move not to follow up on your established Cliffhanger, especially when it involves a important element of the Resident Evil franchise since Natalia/Alex is pretty much the only living legacy of Spencer's Project W. I do think she did not have that much development simply for the fact that she is probably going to be getting groomed to be the next big bad for the Resident Evil series because now that Albert Wesker is gone there is definitely a void in the main antagonist department and who better to fill it then a super powered Natalia/Alex Wesker? She lacked her character being fleshed out to a large degree because it may happen in RE7 and future RE games instead because as we know from experience with Albert who did not get fleshed out much until other games featuring him came out, in solely RE1 he was pretty darn 1 dimensional but by the time RE Umbrella Chronicles came around we knew what the guy was about and RE5 further expanded upon this. The original Alex is gone but all her memories and personality now reside in Natalia and she can definitely pull of some power moves now that she has the power that she has wanted all this time, and as far s potential connections to her goes, well there is Jake who is the son of Albert and thus kinda her De facto nephew in the sense that she is one of the Wesker children of Project W and he is the son of Albert Wesker who was also one of the wesker children of Project W, they could definitely build a plotpoint with the 2 becoming enemies in RE7, we also have Moira and while you may not like her that does not mean that other fans might be fine with her getting some character development and becoming more of a hardened fighter by the time the events of RE7 roll around and if it takes place 8 or more years later. All this being said I actually would not mind a new character taking the lead in RE7, someone who has no history with fighting BOWs and no military or fighting experience and is just thrown into a messed up situation and forced to survive the horror, I still would want Natalia/Alex to be the main big bad but we have other established characters like say Jake,Moira, or Rebecca be supporting characters that help you out from time to time kinda like what Ada and Luis did for Leon in RE4.

You are wrong with that. RE 6 was released on 2. Oktober 2012 and the campagne starts 24.Dezember 2012, so same year. Then there is the 6 month time skip and the rest of the game is set in 2013. So release and story-time are always close together.
