I understand why they wont change the graphics if its just a port. All it needs for this gen is 1920 x 1080 and 60fps with potential 4k support and the port is golden.
I dont see any demand for RE4 to be remade, its a very-very low priority item on their list if so. Remember, we have RE7 and RE2 Remake coming, they probably just want to let people know they're still there doing stuff.
But if they didn't mention the game being a port at all I understand the outrage in regards to the graphics, its certainly not up to par with current-gen standards But im not a heckler for graphics, as long as the game runs and plays fine it'll still be the same RE4 to me, if you're that worried about graphics in a video game
Then wait for the HD remakers on here to finish up RE4 and just play with that, our PC version is better anyways.

While I don't own the game, I am surprised Capcom is taking this long to release a patch to resolve these issues.

I don't own it either,And i STILL can't believe it's not out yet(especially after checking 24/7 on google searching up Resident Evil 5 in general in hopes i see something about Patch Notes..), And i'm literally about to get the game today if not tomorrow.

I'll consider a purchase if I can pick it up pretty cheap used in a couple of months, assuming they actually patch it.

I got it last night and apparently there was a hotfix/(stealth patch/update) and they patched,What SHOULD'VE been patched since the PS3 and Xbox 360 Versions:The split screen item duplication glitches... e_e Honestly,It's small, and something that obviously could've BEEN patched since the original verison(s) but it kind of gives me hope that they REALLY ARE doing something.

Calling RE4 a revolutionary masterpiece is like calling WW2 a tranquil period of peace and harmony.

RE4 was truly great at the time of its release but Capcom and others do hype it to much to often.

RE3.5 looked worse than RE7, though.

I dont think the Game was Ever fully Completed. It Maybe got close But if they were to release it they would have to fix it up. And I get the feeling capcom dont want to put that Much Money and Effort into a game that was Cancelled in the end.

And I get the feeling capcom dont want to put that Much Money and Effort into a game that was Cancelled in the end. Pretty much this ^^^ I'm positive that the game as probably only like 30 % done with what was shown and revealed about the game, so they would have to put some hard effort into completing such a game and for what? A game that is not even canon to the series and could possibly only serve to confuse some fans new to the series, also the paranormal aspect to it made it feel more like a Silent Hill rather than a Resident Evil and in that respect I am happy that RE7 is confirmed not to be going that route.
All that said I would still absolutely love to play it, it looked great and scary and it would be interesting to get a chance to play it, Capcom could just release what little they have on the game and just let the fans know its a non canon side game or something, but video game companies rarely if ever release unfinished work so its pretty much extremely unlikely we will ever get our hands on it.

Japanese devs in particular seem to utterly despise even REFERENCING cut content, so I wouldn't be surprised if they drug their employees to forget about it.
