New Gameplay video, though it's just as terrible looking as ever.. I love how they render the zombies as completely useless until the "jammer" is busted. As if zombies are so easily swayed by some technology. The whole point of the undead is that they are relentless and always a threat. The guys are commenting as if it's a competitive skill related match. These games do not have the same mechanics as fighter games which requires a great deal of time and dedication to be a good player in, so I think the commentators are a real joke. No doubt this game has a leveling up, XP system as well. As if grinding makes a game of this mindless caliber any more worth while.

To me it looks very awful. All this clumsy animation, stupid zombies around who just stand, cause irritation.
I am not against action multiplayer games like this or any other COD clone called Resident Evil, but it must be done at least good. For now, that Capcom are trying to do in this direction, it looks like a creepy shit!

Eeee... that's really crap animations, it's like the floor is slippery. No way, this game isn't worth the price, or who knows, perhaps there might be animations improvements as the months goes on. But I doubt it.
Soo.... am I going to get this... NOOOOO!!! I'm not touching this game until the animations are improved and fixed the not bothered zombies that was laying around. I'll make it to mark the game as Not Interested on steam store page whenever it's on the store.
But I'm getting RE0HD...

I hope Capcom didn't sink too much money into this flop, the last thing fans need is the higher ups going "oh looks like our dumb idea didn't make us millions like we somehow thought it would, better stop all Resident Evil projects". Though I suppose they aren't quite as bad as EA yet (Dead Space *cough cough*).

I really don't know what Capcom is hoping for out of this game. I mean, I get it.. There is a big big market for competitive gaming, and 3rd person shooter multiplayer has become pretty popular (not as popular as first person shooters, but still growing)
But this? It just isn't going to sell. Not only is the game really low quality, the general concept just kinda..well sucks, and is extremely bland.
I don't blame them for wanting to make a really action focused RE game that's developed from the ground up to be competitive, but In my personal opinion they are missing a huge window here to make a game that'd actually sell to action junkies, and all the people who enjoy a good co-op game to play with friends.
The way I see it, if you want to make a online only resident evil game, called Resident Evil Online, have it be Free To Play on X1, PS4 and PC, have all the major RE characters in the game, have both competitive and cooperative game modes. Make all of the major content accessible to all players, just have cosmetic things to buy to fund the game, such as additional costumes for all the characters, gun skins, gestures..etc.
Is that a true RE game? Obviously not, but let's face it there is already a hand full of non horror oriented RE games, and is this was done right with dedicated servers and was fun to play, people would buy the shit out of all of the store items, as long as it was truly free to play, not pay to win. The market for a game like this is ever growing, and I personally believe Capcom is really missing out on an obvious major cash cow, and seeing as to how many of the assets they can just recycle between the last 3 or 4 major Re game releases, not really having to worry about making major high end budget cutscenes or hiring actors, it wouldn't be all that expensive.
But that's just my 2 cents, instead we just this crap infested bland generic Umbrella Ops lol

Glad they're making another game instead of remastering old games, which is good in itself, I just hope in the playtime this game consumes RE7 is in the works, it actually looks interesting, and for a Unity Game looks pretty well done.

In my opinion, if they want to create an online competitive Resident Evil, they should just port Mercenaries 3D to the consoles and PC and add some more characters and game modes, like slayers, onslaught, survivors, etc.

If they want an online competitive game they have two options
1) Port Mercs 3d, as stated above me.
or 2) Make a 3rd installment of outbreak.
Or just like; don't.
I can't see this going anywhere meaningful other than the grave.

The thing is Outbreak wasn't competitive. So since they are wanting to do competitive (shooter in this case) let's hope this game gets it out of their systems so they do more worthwhile projects but yeah if they want to do a successful online multiplayer franchise, do Outbreak.

If they REALLY want to do competitive?
Release this.
Watch it fail miserably.
Maybe they'll realize "Huh, that was a bad idea" and focus on games that are worth time.

I think people should give it a chance, it IS built on unity, and it's kinda a new thing for them.

It's a co-op competitive shooter made in Unity in a franchise that's either Survival Horror or Action Horror.
Some might have faith; me? None at all.
