^I could be wrong, but maybe you're using the wrong FOV or aspect ratio for the camera? The old PSX games made use of a specific constant FOV setting for the background renders, the same probably holds true for the REmake renders. You can kind of notice this in the official renders, they have this squished look to it compared to your renders. As for matching the colors, the tools under Image > Adjustments menu in Photoshop helps a lot in correcting colors in post-production. Nice work on the Zero n64 render btw, the modelling is spot-on. On a side note, I tried color correcting one of your second floor renders as well, but it didn't turn out right. I think the second floor lighting is a bit too dark? {Custom Spoiler}

Yeah, that was my first thought too. And I think the .cci files I mentioned in earlier posts might have what we need.
And yes, the second floor is a little bit dark. That's because I've been messing around with light linking to optimize render times. I'll see if I can fix it.
And this is what I found in r106.cci. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than myself should take a look at that file and see if there is some way to extract the FoV information.

Sent you a private message. Also, I color-corrected a couple more of your renders. I couldn't upload all of them on Imgur because of the file size, so you're gonna have to download them on mega. imgur.com/a/FJQkRMega Download Link (contains more renders): mega.co.nz/#!PAVSSRiI!pxjAVIEecaUCOxBi299fotyNNwVuxvAz7MFWGi4BGBw

I'll give it a try but without any promises. Let's be patient to see if I can find some useful data in cci files

Ok dude.
To keep my words, Here is a beta tool.
I could extract camera info plus an unknown extra data I don't know how is used But any way I included it in output report file.
Using this tool is simple. Just drag and drop the file in cci folder on it.
And I don't know about the coordinates system/scale. I just extracted the raw data found in the file.
Have fun dude.

Have fun dude. You're awesome Son of Persia. Thank you so much! Take a look at this:First, I decided to temporarily use Softimage (which is the program Capcom used in REmake to render their backgrounds until they started using Maya in RE0). I created the camera with the information extracted from the cci file but the renders still didn't match so I decided to mess around with the aspect ratio until it finally matched. Then I took the camera information back to Maya and rendered the scene. It's still not perfect, but I'd say we're on the right track

Excellent job man.
So you're telling me that the scale of extracted coordinates was right???
And to be honest, based on the info of a cci file, I couldn't find a way to determine which camera info belongs to which background.
No need to improve the tool anymore???

No need to improve the tool anymore??? In my case I had to divide the coordinates by 100 but I think that's up to each user. But there is something you should change: <Unknown Position> is actually the camera position; <Position> is the target or camera interest position; <Target Position> is the real unknown position. The rest is ok. And the camera numbers in the extracted cci are the same as in the game's background folder. That's how I knew which camera belongs to which background.

Ok my friend.
Based on your report, I think THIS would be the final version of the tool.
Enjoy it.

Thanks again man Now I think I'll spend some time improving the quality of my models. There are a lot of things that still need to be fixed and some objects I wanna model from scratch. Hopefully I'll be able optimize the scene and reduce render times.

^Seems like a massive undertaking. I'd imagine that's going to take a while, unless a few other talented 3d artists decide to chime in and help out.
