Hey, I have a question...
Why are they remastering old stuff? Is it because they're out of ideas? Don't get me wrong, I love the REmake, but I think that they can remake 2 or Code Veronica. It's easy, and I know I've been saying this alot, but use the maps and models from the Chronicles, port them in one game, some voice acting (which might be expensive considering it's both in English and Japanese), the old motions (movements) from the REmake and there you have a new game. It might be harder than what I'm describing but think of the profit.

Also to answer your first question; it's partially because these two games used to be exclusive. Now is a chance to make them un-exclusive.

'Easy' Well your saying its easy because of 'porting' the chronicles levels, well even if they did that chronicles 1: Didn't have every single area, some parts are left out. For example in RE2 Claires Basement Section. and 2: Even if they did port the levels the textures would all need updating, which takes time to do and pay them for doing so. So in theory easy, practically it all boils down to what we have all known, it takes time and money. We do have the possibility of new remakes being done (such as RE2) but for now I think there just going to work on RE0 for example, remaster what we have rather than remake others (right now anyway). But the possibility of it happening is there.

Then the team gets paid. "The HD version was a commercial success and became Capcom's fastest selling digital game in history across both North America and Europe." And all the comments on Facebook posts begging about a resident evil 2 remake. We want it = we'll pay for it. That's it. And on the answer... fair point. And I'll skip RE4 Ultimate HD, because that was a big freaking money-grab disaster. We do have the possibility of new remakes being done (such as RE2) but for now I think there just going to work on RE0 for example, remaster what we have rather than remake others (right now anyway). But the possibility of it happening is there. I love this. Right here. They found their calling, instead of rebooting the entire Resident Evil franchise, which will make me very mad, they go to a lesser evil, re-porting. I know you all mean remastering, but come on... It's a port. What looked good 13 years ago, looks good now. (Talking about REmake & 0). But, you know, Capcom should put the original RE team in charge of remaking, not some new guys that will turn it into a action-shooter. They're basically being paid to do the same thing they did 17 years ago. But with better technology.

They're basically being paid to do the same thing they did 17 years ago. But with better technology. To be fair tho, Remake and RE0 were on Gamecube and Wii thats it, so porting it over for people that A) never had the consoles or B) Want it on more up to date systems is good. Plus yes, it is a port, but with remake they did remaster it, but they used several techniques. They had to re-render some backgrounds, they instead of redoing backgrounds or touching up backgrounds they made some rooms 3D instead. They touched up the textures on character models. And now with RE0 in the one screenshot we can see the widescreen system is back, textures on models are better (I'm assuming) and also comparing the background to the gamecube original looks x100 better than just slapping a filter on it, so they have done work to it. But, we will see more this is just an announcement for now. Also original RE Team? you do know RE0 HD is being done by the original team? or did you mean something else? That goes for others to, before saying about ports, remasters or what have you, we should see what they are doing with RE0 first then see what comes after. Plus there's also E3 coming up. Oh and I'm one for RE2/RE3/RECVX etc remakes but we have said this to Capcom for YEARS I'm pretty sure they know by now, see what they have in store for us. Asking about something continuously will get you no where.

I'm VERY happy about this 0 Remaster! Although, Outbreak 1 and 2 REALLY, REALLY need to be remastered. Very few people got to experience its awesome online mode, and the game itself is really really good. It needs much more love than it gets. I hope we'll see something like that one day

They're basically being paid to do the same thing they did 17 years ago. But with better technology. I agree with this in consideration with the writing and directors and decisions of later games. Some of the ideas these new guys came up with are essentially wrecking characters let alone the games. I mean action shooters are fine and great co-op games, but make a proper story without shifting character's personalities for the sake of milking drama and concern. I mean they were honestly considering making all appearances of Ada Wong into clones and killing off Chris in RE6 And Leon is left with the intelligence of someone who inhaled too much hair spray. Not to mention they just take Wesker's character in RE5 and do a complete 180 with his mind and personality. I know Capcom loves to be dramatic but there is a difference between dramatic and plain corny/stupid, something the previous games kinda embraced or attempted to abandon but with less explosion and flashy action in out faces. More so consistency needs to be a thing in the writing and characters. Anyway only time will tell where things will go from here.

Personally, tbh,I do enjoy all these current RE's,but i would like to know what it's like to play earlier RE games. In this case i WOULD like to try them, and im sure i'd enjoy them ALOT! But just atleast if you make more games like this,Give the story + more co-op/multiplayer? It'll be fun. More fun. I hate playing alone. It's a weakness when im alone playing, and i start to get very weird..

It's a weakness when im alone playing, and i start to get very weird.. I agree that the last 2 main games (RE5 and RE6) have been awesome co-op games. However in keeping co-op it may be hard to maintain horror, knowing their mindset. Often people feel more afraid when they are "Alienated" and "Isolated" but no doubt if they pulled more co-op puzzles in and a slower pace like Silent Hill 2, they could actually balance horror with co-op, I.E. Less cutscenes and less forced camera/halting of player's involvement like in Helena's Campaign. RE:Zero should be interesting and spooky none the less!

Now is a chance to make them un-exclusive. if they did a whole next gen game like orc (great quality, stupid facial/environment changes to re2/3 memories) why it wouldn't be easy?
