I do not know why, but launching the game in Steam does not give me the option to play the game in DX9 or DX10. Back in the retail version (GFWL), I was able to choose whether I wanted to play in DX9 or DX10. How do I do so on Steam?

Capcom removed DX10 from the steam edition.

Also there is no difference in graphics between dx9 and dx10 versions of the RE5. It was just marketing to force gamers buy new hardware.

I noticed certain mods have lighting/model issues when ran in DX9. When I ran them on DX10 they looked fine after that. Thanks for letting me know though.

Was there also absolutely no performance difference between DX9 and DX10?

Was there also absolutely no performance difference between DX9 and DX10? DX10 adds some subtle ligting effects and 3DVision support.

For me it's framerates issues, I'm not having constant 120fps, it's decreased to 43fps - 81fps -_- (With DX9) But I think DX10 overall beats DX9, thats how Tomb Raider had the best graphics (Actually TR uses DX11, thats when tessellation feature came to TR) Also if games like these uses Nvidia PhysX then the games would become realistic (Dunno what AMD version is called, nvidia = physx, amd = ?)
