Good eye! I have that texture, but I didn't think it appeared until later games. Interesting they used commercial libraries for 2.
As far as Parasite Eve 2 goes, I got a chance to talk to the director a while back. That sign, the garbage box at the motel, the wallpaper and even carpet in the shower scene all appear in Bio, in addition to a few others. The reason for this is that a lot of the designers quit Capcom after 2 for various reasons (mostly salary), and moved to Square. The director said those elements were used without his permission. Even Pierce is just a modified Leon texture. On the other hand, most of the unique signs in Bio are developer signatures or stamps and they appear in other Capcom games as well. "Fireboy" is one example.
Keep in mind that the writer of Bio1, main character and enemy designer of Bio1 and 2, and the guy who designed the courtyard and laboratory (and scrapped tower) of 1, and a lot of the stages in 2 all worked on Parasite Eve 2. It was made by the core design team.
I'd love to see a remake of 2 using pre-rendered backgrounds in the same style as remake. DXP is doing an awesome job, but the 320x240 backgrounds are a huge limitation. I guess it would be possible to mod the PC version of Bio3 and use 640x480 backgrounds that are higher-resolution than GC Biohazard, but only Mark Grass has made any progress with that and it's a long way off.
Does anyone know if the enemy textures of HD remaster are better than GC, or just upscaled? Same for Bravo Team?

I have all 3 games, 3rd birthday though is more sci-fi tps. I would definitely agree these game really need remakes, though I know this won't ever happen. Square enix doesn't even remake some of their AAA titles. Parasite eve is more less B class (AAA class in my book)
Not only that, the original director and producer is long gone from the series, which is why 3rd birthday is different. The only way to see something like this happen, would be something fan made of around %80-85sh close. Environments can be identical, since square used real locations.
The things that should not be the same are names, characters, soundtrack or use 100% of the script. soundtrack, names and outfit colors can be made to be flexible though, not necessarily locked out. Combat system I don't think could be identical, but more improved or flexible maybe. Scripts can be text based or spoken but left blank for users to type or record themselves. (This Saves time)
What would be great about this approach compared to other projects, would be the world, and the game engine (ue4, which needs no hacking and can run all grades of creations.) RE and Final fantasy fan remakes are extremely difficult because these are based on worlds and characters that are %100 property creations.

Thanks Bunny. So it looks like the Cerberus was created in double the resolution, but Bravo Team is just upscaled. If you get a minute, could you upload some more enemies? Thanks.

Resident Evil Remaster got a face lift in some cases, the added normal mapping is one, the fact that Jill went from 11k polygons to 15k is the other. the game still could have obviously been done better though. character models are still few in numbers on screen and are also few in polys. they could have easily pushed for 100M Environments. Xbox 360 and PS3 pushed for 100M total for racing games. --- keeping the subjects from going off topic, I decided to make a separate thread for parasite eve fans who may also be interested in the idea of a kick start project, brain storming or whatever. thread is over here residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/3493/parasite-spiritual-remake-concepts-thoughts. Thanks Bunny! Don't think I have the brick texture from Bio2. But if you're interesting in modding 2 or 3, here are a few more. Biohazard 2: Biohazard 3: If you get a chance could you please upload some more enemy textures? Already found the base for two parts of Lisa. Or the textures for any other objects that are new to remaster. (full-poly candlestick, things like that) As of today, I pretty much finished work on GC remake. (There's always something left to do, but the bulk is done.) Even at this stage, we could probably enhance the graphics by about 20~60% depending on whether or not we re-render some of the rooms from Umbrella Chronicles or go full-poly. I guess the project would be similar to HD 4, but technically more challenging. I've been working on the same thing for over a year. A community collaboration would be great so let me know if anyone is interested. Besides the rooms, I started remaking the inventory objects and characters as well. Here's an example. If you're gonna re-render some remake backgrounds you should go high poly instead of using UC models. It might take some time but it will be totally worth it. And thank you for the Bio 2 textures. The Remaster looks amazing, I mean I can only think of two things that could be changed. The Aqua Ring area and the pool of water near the courtyard. Basically replacing it with the GC version.

No problem. I found a bunch more if anyone is interested.
I found the base for most of the textures that appear in Umbrella Chronicles. In fact, the Aqua Ring is pretty much done. Might be a good idea to recreate the backgrounds for this area.

I extracted all the textures from every room in stage 1 and I included the original wallpaper vector file so you can save it in any resolution you want. I was very lucky to find it because I was looking for something else but when I saw it I knew right away it was THE wallpaper texture. I'll try to extract the rest of the textures as soon as possible link

That be awesome if you could put them in this game. Because only the Aqua Ring area really stands out from the rest. I don't know why Capcom couldn't take more time with it. But this is very good news!
