I'll be back in hospital on Wednesday to have the blood drained from my right eye. I will also be getting my 4K monitor tomorrow. Talk about silver lining... (If I understood the expression right). Good luck and enjoy your new monitor.

Bit of an update on how I am doing... I still can't see out my right eye but am booked in at the hospital on the 11th Feb to have it drained of blood. My ass no longer hurts when seated for long periods of time which is a great relief. Also have found out that the local hospital (not the same one I had the aneurysm surgery at) where I went with my "Bells Palsey" almost 3 years ago would have discovered I was actually at the early stages of my brain aneurysm and could have prevented it from happening if they had bothered to check everything more closely. *Insert facepalm image here* Sadly, hospitals have a bad habit of treating me like a hypochondriac which keeps landing me in deeper trouble later on

Yeah, the current hospital has said they will back me up if I decide to sue

My story... I was born on 12th April 1975 (I will be 40 on Sunday) and within a few months I was diagnosed with Epilepsy (petite mal) and had up to 50 fits a day but I stopped getting regualr fits by the time I turned 15. When I was 8 I was riding a bike and crashed into the back of a trailer and went over the handle bars and got my little toe caught in the bikes mud guard which shattered my toe so it has never grown since. When I was 15 I was again riding a bike and ended up in the back of a car. I again went over the handle bars but my man-hood almost got cut off. Doctor stitched me up and said I could go to school but was not allowed to have an erection as it could tear the stitches. After a bit of a discussion on why it would be a bad idea to send me to school the Dr finally decided I was worthy of a Dr certificate  I had an Aesophageal Aortic fistula 12 years ago (was given a 5% chance of survival and was informed there are only 20 known cases in history and all but one had died due to blood loss) and in saving my life they had to stop blood flowing through one of my artories that feed my brain blood. This normally would have no issue but sometimes (when I look over my shoulder) the blood stops flowing through the artory on the other side of my neck causing me to get dizzy. Then 3 years ago I had a stroke (caused by my aneurysm) but it was misdiagonosed as Bells Palsy by the hospital trying to get me out the door faster. Last year I collapsed with a massive headache (due to my aneurysm) and was taken to hospital and given a 5% chance of survival again. They attempted to coil the aneurysm but it burst (causing a 2nd stroke) doing it so they ended up resorting to clipping it. All this crap I have been through and I still can't get a pension even though I get faint after standing on my feet for more then 4 hours Sorry for the rant, but I needed to get that all off my chest.

A bit of an update Been 4 months since my last report and how I am doing and it in only 1 month and 1 week it will have been 1 year since my aneurysm and strokes 2 and 3. I am doing well now, kinda anyway Some things that are now different about me... 1/ I forget shit a lot. 2/ At least once a day I lose my balance and fall. 3/ I'll always have a slur in my voice and drool at times due to the 3 strokes. 4/ I sometimes need to be held up while I urinate because I get light headed. 5/ I won't release many mods in future as remembering what to do is a real chore for me now. I am pushing through and have gotten used to the fact I now take 4 different tablets every day and will need to take them all for the rest of my life. But wow! Can't believe it has been a year almost already. Thanks again to you all for giving my GF support during the worst of it.

Its really amazing and scary what can happen in a year.
I'm happy things are looking up for you and your loved ones, and I pray more things get less burdensome in time.
Your GF is one of the bravest people I know on this forum, as are you.
But yeah it's good to hear an update and know that things are better.

I suggest you look into changing your diet to Keto (Low carb high fat). It's very good for people with neurological problems. I used to have memory loss from hitting my head in a car accident 14 years ago but I'm really surprised how much my recent diet change improved it. I truly wish you the best and I'm glad you're doing better.
