That's not what i meant. Remake jill and remake3 jill was to compare the two and prove the point that remake3 jill doesnt really look like jill. I know what you meant but The difference is I can accept the new face as being Jill and like I said I think the ingame model looks great and it looks like a good Jill to me. Whereas to you the only possible Jill has to have Julia Voth's face. But you're in luck because it seems plenty of people agree with you so there probably very quickly will be a Voth Face mod. I'm just not one of those people that agrees. And that's fine. Because people are allowed to have their own opinions. But I still think people in the RE fanbase have always been difficult on accepting any kind of change. Jill's face and voice actress in Rev1 Claire's face and voice in rev2/RE2REMAKE. It doesn't bother me as much if they change it if it to me looks/sounds right. Well I can accept a new face which I mentioned when I compared her to REmake2 Claire and Leon, the difference there is that you could tell without a doubt that you were looking at Leon and Claire. I grew up on REmake so I guess I'm just more accustomed to seeing Julia Jill and since there is an actual real life "replica" of Jill, I was just dumbfounded as to why they didn't go with her, but I can understand your point. Jill in Rev1 definately looked a bit off, but it was still a bit of Jill there in one way or another, and I've never really been big on Voice changes as I personally haven't actually noticed a downgrade, same goes for Rev2 but regarding Claire in rev2, I think what a lot of people miss out on is that there had been 13 years since Re2 happened and during Rev2, she's actually 32 years old. So I think her face looks age appropriate when you consider the time that had passed.

Capcom 3D scans most of the environments and characters for the RE engine.
Julia Voth doesn't look young enough to 3D scan for Jill anymore. The technology forces Capcom to use young blood the game originally released 20 years ago.

Death Stranding 3d scans people too and they 3d scanned a 70 year old woman and made her look like 40 years younger in the game by editing the textures and removing wrinkles etc. Don't know exactly how texturing works but it is possible to 3d scan someone and make them appear younger. It's all virtual and pixels. Here's a comparison: cdn3.imggmi.com/uploads/2019/12/8/4ebbf4aa1073131521968c9542a20961-full.jpg

Some people behave naively and a little foolish trying to find excuses for the new method of scanning 3D models in Сapсom games believing that after photographing the actor’s face it immediately goes into the game without editing. Actually, their method with the new engine is now no different from other games that used real actors and photorealistic models of their faces. And the truth is that there is no problem with the age of the actor, why he can't be used for a younger version of himself. Therefore this is 100% not the reason why they couldn't or didn't want to use Julia Voth face. Perhaps they are just too lazy to do additional work with textures, which is also a stupid. I also don’t think that the case in saving money and take Julia Voth for this work would be more expensive than finding a new model, because she said many times that she would be glad to be Jill and I think she would agree to any a deal. Soooo it’s just Capcom who make strange decisions despite the wishes and requests of the fans. Sometimes it seems to me that they deliberately anger the players/fans and upset them in some desires and aspects in order to get attention, a strong reaction and condemnation of their future game - this is the best marketing move. Or this is very poor design team decisions XD

And we were discussing a possibility on why Julia Voth was not used in this game.

It's probably gonna need a vignette removal mod, if it's the same as RE7 and 2 there won't be a native option.
Possibly the red herb fix mod depending on how they reuse assets.
PS4 prompts is sure to be requested day one.
Other than that, I hope we get more mods to customize the difficulty, like a trainer that actually lets us modify ammo amount for each pack, remove powders and some herbs etc etc. The survival horror mod on Nexus is cool for RE2, but it's not really well designed or balanced in my opinion.
But we'll see! It's a hell of a time to be a Resident Evil fan in any case!

All this talk about Julia Voth when all I want for Christmas is to get rid of Nemesis's piano key teeth and crooked nose lmao
In all seriousness though I have always supported Julia to return as Jill's face. It's the face we've all come to know and love the past several years since REmake came out. And it was real crappy of CAPCOM to not bring her back even though she has expressed numerous times that she's very open to return as Jill. Maybe CAPCOM couldn't afford her a ticket to Japan? Or she wasn't available? It would be messed up if she was available but they didn't bother bringing her back. It's just as sad when Sienna Guillory wasn't even asked to come back as Jill for RE: The Final Chapter.
In any case, as much as I'd miss Julia Voth and it breaks my heart not to see her face again, I absolutely think the new model (based on that leaked pic, not the poster) is gorgeous as hell. She is beautiful and still looks like Jill to me. However, I would be very open to a Julia Voth face mod. They made one for Revelations, I guess they could make one for this remake.
Only issue is the engine so I am not entirely sure they can make a Julia face mod work with the graphics and style of the game. But modders did make Claire face mods that still look fine in the game so maybe a Julia face would work.
Fingers crossed, I'm hopeful.

But modders did make Claire face mods that still look fine in the game so maybe a Julia face would work. Fingers crossed, I'm hopeful. I dont see why its "real crappy" of Capcom, she was a teenager when she did REmake, and is literally twice that age now. I would prefer to see them work with new models like it was done for several other RE titles by now, rather than just have them make a special exception for Voth and keep de-aging her face until shes in her 50s. I think its cool that she's appreciative of her fanbase through her past interviews/AMAs, cosplays, streams, etc., but just like David Hayter for Solid Snake, that doesnt mean you are entitled to being permanently casted for that role, with none of the other past RE models getting that sort of preferential treatment. That said, I think its good that you arent one of those die-hards that feels the need to trash the new face looking like a "transitioning boy" just because its not Voth Jill in a tube top and a short skirt. Im also a bit disappointed that we probably wont see an official Voth Jill again, but I cant deny that the new Jill still looks damn good. Im looking forward to see what the modders have in store for this game's release, hell we already have a pretty good Voth Jill mod in RE2 with working facial animations. I suppose I could have worded it better. Though several fans have been very vocal about having Julia back as Jill. Even Julia wants to keep being the face of Jill if it's what fans want. She even cosplays as Jill, which is even cooler. Julia has also said she gives Capcom free reign to use her face whenever and that if they'll have her, she'll still be Jill. Plus she doesn't even look that old to be honest. She still looks just as great as she did 20 years ago. So it kinda hurts they didn't bring her back. Makes it feel like Capcom isn't totally listening to us. Well, at least concerning Jill's face of course. It also creates a kind of consistency within the franchise. Matt Mullins has been the face of Chris from REmake 1 to RE6, so that's one of the reasons why it was so jarring seeing Chris look so different in RE7. Julia not being in Revelations warranted enough fan outrage that the good people of this forum made mods bringing Julia back even if her face doesn't show in the pre-rendered scenes. Julia has never voiced Jill, was just the face, and yet still fans clamor for her so she doesn't even have to voice act the role, just scan the face and be done with it. And for real? There are people trashing the new face? Don't forget there is a real person behind that face model so making fun of her is just wrong. I personally think the new Jill is still beautiful. Hell, she even looks like Milla Jovovich which is totally ironic since she played Alice in the movies. She also has a bit of Rachel Leigh Cook and Natalie Portman and Ruby Rose sparkled in between and all those women are gorgeous. Like I said if there was a mod for a Julia Voth face, I would download in a heartbeat. But if not, I have no qualms keeping the new face. My only issue with the Julia Voth Jill face mod in RE2 is that, as great as it is, doesn't match the graphics of the rest of the game. We have Leon's hyper realistic face and we have Julia Voth Jill looking like she stepped out of the Gamecube era lol I'm also okay with the new outfit. Does it look too derivative of Claire's from RE2 Remake? Yep. Even moreso looks like Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider reboots. There's like this trend of a tanktop and pants for female characters. But it makes sense given the situation and the practicality of the redesigned outfit fits well with the style of the game. But if given the option to keep her classic outfit, I might keep that on permanently because to me, the classic tube top and skirt getup is just too iconic and memorable for me.
