!! Always uninstall previous versions. From "mod manager" mods list (or manual backup files v0.1b-v0.6b). !!
Put whole "RE1HD Dr.Disrespect music and sounds" .rar file in "...\modmanager\Games\REHD\Mods" folder.
Want to play mod: Run "mod manager" and install mod from "Resident Evil HD" mods list.
Want to play original RE1HD: Run "mod manager" and uninstall mod from "Resident Evil HD" mods list.
Goal: Whole game with Doc and 80's movies vibes adventure.
With Doc's voice responses to objects/evens including 80's style synthwave boss fight musics.
Music carefully selected and edited/mixed-in to fit good in game situation.
[How violence, speed and momentum achieved]
Is veeery slow and complicated process for me, hope you appreciated. If anyone want just "buckle in" - let's do it, cause is way too much for doing it solo.
A lot of work to put even 1 sound, basically need to break all rooms, events, enemies files and found where is where, and be creative where to put sound, and how to mix audio.. Plus damn hex editions or incorrect speed/loop slowing testing process not even mentioning by searching acceptable voice lines (clear enough, how it sounds and hardest - combine to sentence).
Many work energy wasted without result. Searching for voice lines, modding process, sound parts removed after test (sound un-natural, not fitting to situation, not happy with sound quality, wrong voice pitch, game crash, soft lock or made mistake). Almost all cutscenes are being tried to edit, but sounded bad, at least i left some acceptable words from unfinished scene e.g. in cutscenes beginning or end. For this, need more and more better voice samples, even i have one liners (most of them), is complicated to make it to believable sentence.
Only acceptable sounds for my ears coming to the mod and selecting music with respecting RE and rules: Doc music, 80s, syntwave, it must fitting to game and fitting to situation (mixed/edited to fit in to game moment, removed parts from song if some part sounds out of place). So that's why, if you wonder why some Doc songs not here.
At least i found the ways to add audio in almost all game places, and it feels like "We're at the tippity-top of the mountain, but we really only half way up!" -ReiKaz
