i was looking at how some people have managed to replace non dlc textures, and it seems to involve hex editing the pfb files?
someone can confirm?
i tried to replicate results, but would not work, anything else required?

update: this in fact does work. i prevented this from working initially due to an oversight.
people managed to hex edit the pfb files to read custom texture files.
the pfb files also link to different models, you can theoretically edit the pfb file to use any model in the game(provided the animations are compatible) with custom textures by editing just the pfb files. the player character has 3 slots: body, face, and hair.
for example,i can edit the pfb file for leon's body model to link to the hunk model. i have not tested this, but if i use the noir outfit's pfb file and hex edit that to read from different model and texture directories, i can theoretically keep the animations such as the holstering intact. this is only a theory as i believe the pfb files might control things of that nature as well
